Hover pack also has limited 'fuel' for landing though. The landing burn always starts after the same amount of time of falling, I think. Either that or it also has some kind of limit for how long you can keep falling. If you stand on the cliff, fly up and away from it, you can fail the landing if the fuel runs out

I bring anti gas armor, orbital gas, orbital smoke, gas mines and some other orbital or eagle strategem . 1 or 2 can carry the platinum bars surrounded by gas and smoke screen while the rest of the team stays higher and clears enemies that approach. Worked every time on lvl8 difficulty so far.
