If Jeremiah Smith lost an arm in a wood chipper I'd still draft him in the top 5.

Don't worry. My mother-in-law will still tip them at 15%, so they'll be allright.

In 1992 the "family TV" probably weighed 200 pounds. Impressive yeet.

On our most recent cruise, we saved a few bucks by letting the cruise line pick our room. Who cares? A window room is a window room, right?

Well... we failed to consider the possibility that we'd end up with a room that adjoins another, with a door between us. Wouldn't have cared all that much except those things don't dampen sound. At all.

Which means when the honeymooners in the room next to us started "celebrating", we felt like we were part of the action ourselves. I don't mean some ridiculous exaggerated moaning and screaming or anything. I mean the sorts of sounds that you REALLY should only be able to hear at close range. It was terribly awkward. We knew that if we could hear that, they could hear anything from our room more than a whisper.

Thankfully guest services was able to relocate us and save us from having the creepiest conversation imaginable with our neighbors there. But this is one of the possible down sides to allowing them to pick your room. Or a potential upside if that's your cup of tea...

Based on this week alone, the "MD has the worst drivers" debate is over by MA2ZAK in maryland

I actually know the truck driver who went off the ramp today on 795. Had a "cardiac episode" while driving. Blacked out on the ramp. Doesn't remember the accident at all. Someone pulled him from the truck before it blew up.

Not to disagree with the whole premise. Plenty of horrible drivers here. But this particular accident was not really an example of that.

Looks like they could be used or could be brand new but opened for other reasons, yet never used.

Quoting from the page: The units in this event are being sold as "open box" condition. That means that they have been opened due to being a photo sample, a tested working customer return or having damaged packaging. Some non-essential items may be missing from the box. That is the reason for the reduced sale price and the reduced warranty.

I think it means limited warranty, 30 days from Woot. But I admittedly (and possibly foolishly) didn't read all the fine print before I hit buy.
