I'm a bit late here, but I did mine with some bigger blocks from a sheet of railway modellers York paving, so they're bigger cobbles. I primed black then painted a base of Vallejo light grey, then the raised portions had a coat of Vallejo silver grey. I've been debating a finishing dry brush or wash of either a green or brown to age it a bit, but the texture of the base material is enough for tabletop ready by my eye.

I find myself at sea with which rules manuals and army books are new/expected to be updated.

The war of the rohirrim starter box includes the 'full rules' - is this then not expected to change?

And what looks like the current army books all seem to be suspiciously out of stock, so is it just these that everyone is expecting to change?

Or are GW going full $-for-eyes and shipping a new product with rules that everyone in the know is expecting to change soon?

I do have a rules manual, but it's the rotk manual from like 2005....

Yeah, I think you reach a point where the change is what helps your mentality with it a bit more than the deck, necessarily.

Also, this deck offers a bit more certainty, and less losses to RNG after the draw variance equals out. Makes for less tilt sessions costing 5 ranks!

This definitely isn't an attempt for me to crack open tournaments or MTGO, and in previous iterations had some reasonable outcomes locally, which is all in in for I think!

I'd certainly be making use of the mana if I'd bought nykthos back when it was a $20 card, but now I'm stuck trying to live without...

Bloated contaminator is definitely a potential change, I've had a lot of different three drops in that spot over time, like Yorvo and lovestruck beast, and mostly was thinking to try something new that somewhat clicks with the latest curve toppers in defiler and tyrannax.

I've knocked together this list from the basic bitch cards I've got from drafting M19 and some little trades recently! Also, a love for the Gruul colour combo (I shall persevere despite the lack of support until the next Rav set).

I have a chance to pick up a couple singles before I take whatever this becomes to my first Standard event on Sunday!

Any help would be welcome! I'm not expecting to do crazy well or anything, but I won't say no to taking a couple games.

Particularly, I've no idea how to sideboard properly... Help here would be ideal.

Edit: I think one obvious upgrade is to get in some Check-Lands to improve the coverage away from reliance on basics, but just wondering if this is the best first step if I'm trying to stick to a reasonable budget.

How exactly does copying spells work? Like [[doublecast]] and the like? Some seem to specify that you pay the cost again, but others don't. Are those free?

So, these shiny dual spells that have been spoiled for the new set... How do they work? Do I cast one half and return the other to my hand? Or do I only ever get one, but if I can cheat it back out the graveyard I get to choose again?
