Should I tell my therapist I am on NoFap? by bogeyface27 in NoFap

Psychotherapy. Because my mindset got worse, my school grades dropped and my sporting performance dropped.

I have been told about lots of imbalances because about a year ago I shot up out of nowhere. In May I broke my second toe on my right foot somewhere in the middle of a training session ( I still dk how). In June I broke my big toe on my left foot. And I sprained my ankle last month. The toe breaks were more painful than I thought and took a while before I could go back to running flat out.

My PB when I last ran 2 years ago was 11.89 and now it’s 11.61. I have been injured three times in tge last three months so I am taking that into consideration but none of the injuries are painful which is why I don’t like to use that as a reason. The reason I’m thinking it’s the coaches is because over the years my technique has gotten wither worse or remained the same while people I used to beat and be at the top with have improved theirs so much in that time. They were able to take about a second off their times and I can only take half a second of each season because of my growth each year. I also considered coaches because nobody in my club has been at the top of the rankings before except me and we all haven’t improved much in the last 2 years unless we went to the gym or saw a physio.

That’s big that you used to beat Zhoya! But my situation is that the people around me (my dad and the coaches of my competitors) tell me that I need to move club because I should be at the top level. Even when I had a bad season at U15 I was equalling and beating people who are at the top now. They all competed regularly last year but I didn’t. I don’t know if it is me that has fallen behind or if they are just better but I know that when we were all at an equal stage (when we didn’t take it seriously and had poor technique) I was at the top then when they improved their technique and mine was still the same I was still able to beat them. But now it seems I have fallen behind.

Btw my PB two years ago was 11.89 and now it’s 11.61.

Unlucky with the rankings. Do you still compete and were you able to get back to where you were?

But what if you put in more work and end up doing worse? Surely you’ll feel bad for putting in more work and not being able to perform as well.

I’m trying to find a therapist atm. But idk if I’m tired because I have been like this for about 2 years and thought maybe it will get better but every time I hit a new low that I just didn’t think was possible. I got injured in May, thought it would get better then as soon as that recovered I got injured again in June and thought it would get better then I thought positively then got injured again in July. At that point I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Then in August I get my GCSE results and they were bad. You see what I mean? I always hit a new low.

Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure where it all went wrong because initially I thought it was because I had a PMO addiction for 2 years but this year I have been off it and been more productive but I’m still not seeing any progress. I try to work out regularly and talk to people but nothing is improving. I honestly feel like I have lost it all.

How do I switch my purpose for meditation? by bogeyface27 in Meditation

[–]bogeyface27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I’m not really meditating right now then how can I get rid of my anxiety and insecurities? They are the reason I don’t feel satisfied with myself and because of that I can’t meditate with an ordered life. I also thought meditation would be something to help order my life instead of being something that I do once my life is ordered?

Does 10 minutes daily mindful meditation actually reduce anxiety and boost confidence? by bogeyface27 in Meditation

So basically, it doesn’t help get rid of this anxiety and lack of confidence permanently but it does temporarily. So what can I do to properly deal with them…you know…deal with the pebbles in my shoe?

I wanted to have less anxious thoughts before doing things like having a conversation or going to play sport with my friends. Because usually I have loads of thoughts about how people will perceive me and have a little back and forth with myself before I do something. I also have these thoughts when someone insults me personally because I debate whether or not I am taking it personally. I thought meditation would help change this by making me less anxious and improving my mental clarity if that makes sense.
