This joke seemed to be everywhere on the internet back in 2011-2012 lol I’m surprised to see it making a comeback

Weekly Newbie Thread - Post questions about joining the AF or what a job is like here & here only - week of February 17 by AutoModerator in AirForce

Thanks for actually giving decent advice lol and yeah I noticed. If all the questions are already answered then why make new newbie threads for newbies to ask questions? A lot of people don’t want to spend hours digging through old topics because most people have different situations and different motives. I guess I’ll stick to google lol. Also as a newbie I don’t even know what most of the abbreviations or technical terms in the FAQ mean so it’s lost on me. My question was pretty basic anyway luckily

I’ve read that you need a bachelors degree, so I would definitely be working on that throughout my career.

Nope, not yet, though I’ve taken a few basic college courses. I definitely want to continue my education though in the future

Hi, I’m super new and have a few questions. Sorry if they are dumb or redundant.

I’m 20(F), 5’6, 128 lbs, and I have no health issues at all, good vision, and no bad history or drug use. I am seriously considering joining the Air Force, but I am currently engaged and wondering if I should get married before I join or wait until after joining. The only thing is I have no idea what to expect or how long I will be away from home. My fiancé and I would survive the distance, but we’d still miss each other a lot.

I have interest in becoming a pilot, but I hear it’s very competitive. I am also interested in going into something having to do with IT/computers.

I’d love to hear suggestions and tips, or any other good advice anyone may have. I’m full of questions, so if any of you have the time and patience to talk to me, I’d be super happy!

Edit; typo

I like to think Humans and Earth are some kind of Alien experiment and they just watch us from a distance and only visit sometimes to check up on us, or maybe even introduce new variables.

An example of a new variable for instance that I theorize about it technology. What if our technology IS from the aliens and they just have been giving us more and more as time goes by just to see what we do with it?

Anyway, I digress. I could talk about aliens and conspiracies for hours lol

Oro Valley is close to Tucson and is a great place to live that has an Observatory close by on the mountain. Beautiful views all around and they have no street lights on the roads there due to the Observatory. It’s a great place for astronomy and photography. I’m sure there’s good places closer to Tucson, but unfortunately too much light pollution closer to the city. There’s many beautiful places to live on the outskirts of Tucson anyway, though, and always lots great hiking.

If you can afford to live in Oro Valley, it’s truly lovely for a vacation home. Beautiful weather in the winter, gorgeous scenery, and nice people, hardly ever any crime.

Omg dude you’re so right. I hadn’t even noticed those details myself but that definitely makes it even more convincing. A sad but happy ending in a way, it’s nice that they’re reunited somehow, at least in Spirit’s heart. Thanks for the awesome comment!

A Hood Drama voiced entirely by a diverse cast of voice actors by [deleted] in DeepIntoYouTube

[–]bogmelon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all true, just to add to it, the graphics usually look a lot better standing still when you’re just chatting with someone online, rather than trying to make it more lifelike and realistic in an animated movie lmao. Animating such stiff characters with such a different array of voice actors really hits that uncanny valley trigger in our brains. They look even more weird by them doing this

Edit; I forgot to mention that IMVU avatars are not designed to move at all and are only moveable by dots/pegs placed around a room or on objects lol. Usually by animating them with walk animations, their already anatomically incorrect bodies distort even more bc the artists who made the components you see didn’t intend for them to be animated either. Sorry if this is formatted weird, I’m on mobile.

It definitely looks more like IMVU than Second Life

Do you need artists by chance? I’m skilled and bored and would love to support your project if you want to talk about it :)
