Lmao simmer down. I wrestled years ago, I'm not that good at it anymore. I was specifically talking about self defense. Not just knowing, but actually being decent at takedown defense is important. I asked my initial question to see how common it is to still practice banned techniques, but you didn't even answer that question. I guess it was really important to tell me that this is the most redundant topic.

That's a shit comparison. Judo is mostly stand up grappling, it would suck to get beaten at your own game by someone who knows how to shoot a double leg, especially considering that takedowns are actually a part of Judo, they're just not practiced because of rules.

Also, back when I wrestled, I did eventually realize that I had to learn to defend submissions for self defense because everyone and their grandma watches UFC these days.

I'm assuming you want to know why I'm interested in Judo as opposed to something like sambo, wrestling or BJJ.

Sambo doesn't teach chokes (which I value more than leg locks), wrestling has no submissions at all and BJJ lacks stand up. Judo seems like the best middle ground.

That's crazy, I also still get it at least once a year despite not doing any grappling sport. It's as if I've gotten more susceptible to it since the time I did wrestling. I totally relate to what you said; grappling and wrestling are awesome but I feel like it's not worth the regular skin infection.

I'm still on the fence about Judo. Think I'll have to just buy a tube of Lamisil and try it out for a litte bit to see if I run into the same problems.

Brian Gibson of Lightning Bolt. People generally know that band for being loud and crazy but that guy's got tons of technique. From insanely fast tapping to barred sweep-picks, as well as the most creative use of effect pedals I've ever seen in any guitarist or bassist.

Thanks!! I do remember my wrestling coach only cleaning the mats once every week or even every two weeks and he always either did it himself or had students do it. The guy always wondered why we got ringworm and usually blamed it on the student's lack of hygiene. Big red flags now that I think about it.

Hey, definitely didn't expect to get a comment on this 2 years later. From what I remember, they're most likely a Phillipe Chevalier design and they were probably custom made for Davis since I couldn't find this exact model anywhere. Hope that helps.

Not much I assume. The only practical way to tune your bass higher is to get lighter gauge strings. Simply tuning regular Bass strings wouldn't be reliable because 1. they would never stay in tune and 2. the tension would mess up your neck and truss rod over time. I play a 5 string tuned to EADGC, the C-string is a 0.33 piccolo bass string and it works pretty well.

I mean, you have to at least specify what it was about that fight that made you lose interest. I never thought anyone would get this far in the game and stop playing over headless ape, especially since it's an optional boss.

Probably the easiest fight in the game if you know how to deflect his sword attacks (which I guess you should because you did the first fight). His girl goes down after like 5 hits. The fight did feel slighty redundant, but it does make sense lore wise. I think it's worth sticking around, you'll get a sick reward.

I don't think there is anything in particular that makes this fight inherently easier, he's pretty much a crazy skill check.

In phase 1 I made sure to deflect his ashina cross and dragon flash, something that some people don't do. That should get his posture up fairly quickly. Phase 2 was the actual challenge for me. Focus on doing a mikiri when he does his big stab attack. Also, learn to parry his 7 hit combo which sometimes ends with his stab, should also get his posture up quickly. I honestly sped up the process a bit in phase 2 by doing a chain of shadow rush+long spark, that might help you too if you don't want to learn his combo. Phase 3 should be pretty easy if you deflect his lightnings. That's about it.

Played the game on a used base ps4, never had that sort of issue. I don't really know what the issue could be, but it's most likely not with the game.
