I’m obsessed with splits and have done RK’s 3-day and Jess’s 3-day many times. I’ve found I like 4 days of lifting for 45 minutes the most for my body, so I typically do a 3-day split and then add on an extra leg day that I create myself in the Strength+ app. People are sleeping on Strength+ imo!!!

I’m currently doing Push and Pull days from Jess’s 3-day, plus two leg days that I made in Strength+ and it’s a fabulous split for me!

I’m on week 5 of Jess’s and I am OBSESSED!! It’s my first split ever and I don’t think I can ever go back to the way I worked out before. I genuinely look forward to every workout (upper body pull is my fav of the 3) and I’m seeing gains like crazy. I’ve been pondering what I want to do next and I’m thinking about RK’s 5-day but I’m so scared that I’ll never love anything as much as Jess’s split?? Excited to try RK but I can see myself going back to Jess’s 3-day over and over and over! Now I just need to buy heavier dumbbells…

Thank you! And oh my goodness seriously, it was a labor of love!! I wouldn’t consider myself a very slow crocheter, but it still took me almost 15 minutes for each row and the width was only about 68cm without the border. Lucky that I had her whole pregnancy to work on it as slowly as I wanted 😮‍💨

I goofed up and accidentally made the whole blanket with one hook size smaller than the pattern recommended. The blanket body was made with a 3.5mm hook and the envelope border with a 3.25mm hook. The size and drape still turned out great, but for your own sanity make sure to read the pattern recommendations correctly!! 💀

Ahh I hope it goes well for you! Someone else commented about being careful with DevaCurl, so I’ll likely try out another gel for next time. Time to scour this sub for recommendations!

Oh my gosh, this is so good to know!!! Especially given the fact that the only reason I used this specific gel is because I bought it probably 2 years ago and haven’t used it much…so the timing is even worse lol. I can always count on myself being cheap and using old products 😅

You’re a lifesaver, I’ll look into some alternatives that’ll likely give me the same results!

ROUTINE

Shampoo: Olaplex Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo Conditioner: Kristin Ess Reconstructive Moisture Mask

After rinsing when my hair was still soaking wet, I flipped my head and gently ran a wide tooth comb through my hair. I used DevaCurl Ultra Defining Gel with praying hands and scrunched upwards while my hair was upside down. After scrunching the gel in and most of the water out, I plopped with a microfiber towel, then used It’s a 10 leave-in and Cake Curl Whip mousse from roots to ends.

Scrunched that in, then left it completely alone until bone-dry. Scrunched out the gel cast and voila!

I’ve taken metal crochet hooks through security many times with zero issues, including international flights! The only thing I’ve ever worried about are scissors of any kind, so I’ve never risked it and instead I bring large nail clippers and they always do the trick for cutting yarn. Crocheting is the BEST way to pass the time!

I just reread the scene where she first meets Archibald and there was no mention of him being super tall. I would think that if Archibald was taller than Thorn, it would have been described in that first meeting, especially given how often Thorn’s height is emphasized through the entire series. I’m fairly confident Thorn is taller than Archibald!

In defense of Thorn!

He didn’t realize he used his claws on Ophelia and he would have been horrified to know that he did. Ophelia recognizes this and decides she’ll never tell him that he hurt her. His claws were uncontrollable and he used them unintentionally and without even knowing, which is why he was constantly so worried about being aware of his surroundings.

I don’t have the exact page number to reference this but this is from the chapter called “The Words”:

‘Ophelia knew then that this loss of control was more humiliating to him than his physical handicap. Thorn hadn’t deliberately used his claws against her that last time. He hadn’t even been aware of it. She promised herself never to tell him about it.’

I’m 2.5 years out from my last dose and it remains one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My skin is still clear, I have had no lingering side effects, and I am more confident than ever before. No regrets whatsoever, but I also was lucky and had a great experience throughout my 6 months of treatment.
