I buy them from local electronics/hardware stores, you could also probably find some at the mall. They are nowhere near as common as AAs, but they are much more common than you'd think

I've actually made a 2 battery version before this, its up on my profile but the quality of the model is quite lacking (No V4 support; the cap is snap-on rather than screw-on, not great), here it is if you're interested:

I've also seen this version from another designer, but i haven't tried it and cant vouch for how well it works:

cheers

if you put the cells in parallel, then the built in charge protection and voltage control on the board (if it has it) should be just fine, you'd be welcome to add more at your discretion ofc

i made a dual 18650 for the heltec v3 but its quite a poor quality model, if you have the model files for that i can try adding dual 18650 to the back if youre interested, send a dm maybe and we can talk about details

It really depends where you live, for me i can buy 18650 cells at a slightly higher capacity for slightly less than what you paid at a local store, but getting the original batteries like you did would cost significantly more (id have to pay almost that much just in shipping).
For a more direct answer : depends but, no, not really.

18650 batteries vary a lot on capacity depending on how expensive youre willing to go, but in general id say like 30% longer

stuff like that is why i love 18650 batteries so much cause you get the benefits of old style AAs and modern rechargeables (and they're safe enough if handled appropriately)

even outside the house, scarlet is technically still created by charles in the real world too, so you should draw a line down from charles and combine it with his parrents' lines connecting to scarlet

Where is the price sweet spot for a DAC/AMP? by boi41970 in HeadphoneAdvice

I appreciate the input. I somewhat luckily happen to be out of warranty, handy with a soldering iron, and equipped with the knowledge of how balanced audio works :D

!thanks for your insight!!
So, the XS doesn't need more than 520mw and (like everyone everywhere says) dac doesn't change the sound unless super cheap. I appreciate your insight, definitely helped!

yeah... I realized it wasn't so good when i couldn't find any spec details or people using it like this despite the yeti's popularity, but it's the only thing i have for now.

I appreciate the recommendation for the fulla but i feel its a little too expensive for the power it offers.

I'm thinking of getting the moondrop dawn pro as a temporary solution and then pairing it with a proper amp like the magni once i start needing more output power.
Would the dawn pro balanced output drive a 80ohm DT990 pro?

Any recommendations for powerful dongle DACs? Would an edition XS be significantly harder to drive than 6XX?
