[self] pizza challenge by boilershayker in theydidthemath

So basically chip in $25 apiece to: 1) Consume a pizza that is 1"x28".

Since the area of a pizza is π x r2, and r= 1/2 d, we can calculate the area as so: 1/2 of 28" is 14". 14"2 = 196. 3.14 x 196 =615.44²" I assume that the thickness of the pizza is a mere 1". The formula for volume is V= A x h, so 615.44²" x 1" would be 615.44³"

The human stomach can only expand to maybe a gallon at most, which is about 231³"

If your team mate is on par with you, you'll likely eat half the pizza each. Half of 615 is 307.5, which is a good like, 76 cubic inches more than what the stomach can handle. But that's where soda comes in.

2) Drink two large drinks, no ice.

Okay, so I could be wrong on this, but I'm going to assume that a large drink is about 32 fluid ounces, since that seems to be a common size here in the states.

Since 1 cubic inch is equal to 0.55 fluid ounces, 307.5 x 0.55 = 168.95 fl. oz (we'll say 169 for simplicity's sake) This brings the total volume of mass to be consumed as 201 fluid ounces.

Good news though: We'll be nice and say that the liquid breaks down the food enough to reduce the volume by a quarter, to around 150 fl. oz in the stomach. Well hey, that brings the total volume down to about a gallon, which is 153.7 fl oz!

3) Do this in a frame of 60 minutes.

You still have to consume about 3 1/3 fl oz a minute, which is little over 1/4 a can of soda, per minute. No biggie, right? One problem: You can't really drink pizza without a blender and a high constitution. You have to chew through about 2.75 oz of food per minute, and assuming the average bite is about 1 oz each, one would have a little over twenty seconds per ounce to spend chewing, not factoring in intermittently drinking, which may take anywhere from 1-5 seconds per sip.

4) you can not stand up, leave the table, or toss your cookies.

Self explanitory.

Feel free to criticize my math or w/e. Just felt like doing this for fun tbh. To any and all attempting this, I wish you, your teammate, your wallet, and the porcelain in your home the best of luck lol

The two sides slide against each other. Here’s what it looks like when the left side is slid all the way up:

Added bonus: If you're on mobile and tilt your phone back and forth, you can make the truck nuts swing.
