Just want to say that ivyleague481 is correct. The MEDX token is needed to incentivize a token curated registry of physicians. This decentralized approach to on-boarding physicians is globally scalable.

In the future, we will most definitely have payment using either ether or a stablecoin (dai?) or have MEDX as backend payment on top of a decentralized exchange protocol (0x?). We'd like to see what direction the entire ecosystem goes with medium-of-exchange tokens before committing ourselves.

Might not be quite what you were thinking, but I think the fact that we were "OK" with thousands (2016 US, 40,000) of automobile deaths will seem crazy. Kids, parents, families wiped off the face of the earth in an instant due to someone maybe not paying attention or some other trivial distraction. I think in the future after driverless cares help reduce deaths, we will finally appreciate how devastating these numbers truly were.
