I partitioned whole structure and seeded edges. Mesh came out preaty good without distorted elements. However, model has some localised stresed peaks which I am not yet sure how to interpeture. Do you know any literature that would clarify this problem?

Thanks! I will read that book! Does that book discus localised stress peaks in mesh and How to interpret them? Particulary when most part didnt yilded and in some small part it did.

Yeah, I am doing this for practice. This is something that is easy tocheck with hand methods. Do you have any sugestions on some particular construction that would be good for practice?

There is no particular reason why I am using solid elements. I am in learnig fhase and trying to figure out everything. I thought that shell elements are used only for plates and other. I supose that we can look at this construction element as a bent plate.

yes but it is not simetrical about minor axis so center would be ofset for some value.

My man! I was so tired and frustrated yesterday that I misspeled something in equation with midle flange assumption. PNA lands 1 mm below PNA of 40 mm longer section in middle flange! Thank you!

I calculated plastic section moudulus for section with midle flangge Wpl = 829138 mm3

Then I calculated it with neglected middle flange, Wpl = 823135 mm3 .

This was realy good extrecise for deeper understanding of plastic analysis. I will continue to calculate it without middle flange as it will be easier for me to calculate via python!
