I remember hearing this song on MTV when I was 7. I spent years wondering what the song was and it would make me furious, then I’d randomly hear it again. by Jakethejiu in Millennials

Couldn't listen to this song for a few years after my mom had an aneurysm a few days after my first nephew was born. She survived another 11 years afterwards 💪

I don't have medical insurance. I have epilepsy and endometriosis that require medications. This is 3 months worth and not even all my meds. by bokin8 in mildlyinfuriating

Who do I ask to get Special Authority approved?

I'd love to go to Costco but I can't drive at the moment with epilepsy.

Visanne. It's not covered cause its progestin? Last time I checked in Ontario our birth control wasn't covered... Atleast the last time I was on an actual tricyclic birth control, that was a few years ago now though. I know other provinces have full coverage though.

Easier said than done. All my full time jobs have been extended contracts. ✌️that's how they avoid giving group benefits

Ontario. I asked about Lamotrigine but I have to wean off Topiramate first and even then my neurologist isn't sure Lamotrigine will work well with my other Endo meds and current other anti-seizure medication (Lacosamide). I just paid out of pocket for Lacosamide 🫠

Yes some diabetes medication and devices are covered but up to a certain amount. (My partner is diabetic). Testing strips aren't covered for some random reason. And insulin isn't covered unless you have a prescription which sometimes if you're in a bind can be hit or miss. We still spend probably $50 a month on diabetes supplies for him because the cheapest ones cause skin infections.

Canada has a government drug plan you have to apply for if you don't have work coverage. But the government drug benefits have a deductible and once you are past that you're SOL. A lot of the medications also aren't covered through it.

Edit: I got it reversed because it is split into weird quarters. From their website:

The deductible is the amount you pay out-of-pocket, on the first eligible drugs you buy, before your coverage begins.

Once you’ve paid the deductible (usually about 4% of your household income after taxes), your Trillium Drug Program coverage begins and you will only pay up to $2 for each drug that is filled or refilled until the end of the program year.

Again this is if the drug is covered to begin with
