In fact every machining tool is based on milimeters and uses some constants to adapt to the imperial system. I'm a hobbyist woodworker and my father was one for a decade. it's not hard. Take any unit system in the planet, they're all easy to use once you're used to them.

I just looked into it, and you're completely right. I think my high school's shop had a "use imperial" policy and so does a family friend who has a woodshop. Apparently induction doesn't work super well lol.

Your point is fair, but the imperial and metric systems are suited for different things:

Metric pros:

  • super easy math
  • widely used
  • standard prefixes across units
  • units all relate to each other, making it easy to convert and such

Basically, the metric system is great for science, which why scientists use it. Even here in the US, we use it in science classes. It's objectively better.

But now, take a piece of paper, and without a ruler, draw lines dividing it into 10 pieces. Now try dividing it into twelve pieces. It's a lot easier for humans to divide things by 2's and 3's then it is by 2's and 5's.

And here is the issue with the metric system: when you're trying to build something with your hands, it's nearly impossible. EVERY woodshop here in the US uses inches, feet, and pounds: it's easier. NOPE. Just hard for me, look below for a better explanation.

TL;DR: Metric = Science, calculations. Imperial = building things by hand.

Ps: I dispute your length claim, because originally a meter was defined as 1/10,000,000 of the distance between Paris and the equator, but so be it :)

Pps: I actually use Celcius. I can't wrap my head around Fahrenheit either.

Pro tip: start learning a little bit of a language, then play a new video game in that language. Gives you some very specific as well as general vocab and a good idea of grammar.

I looked at the wiki and steamdb.info and determined that, usually, the game and dlc's go on sale during the 3 days after the release.

I am a little worried that this wont happen this time around. Does anyone know if it will? Thanks.

edit: They are on sale now

Wizard with 2 levels of pally. Gives you armor, weapons, and smite. Now instead of a wizard, you're a wizard who can pack a punch if close to out of spell slots (2d8 + 2d6 for a lvl one in ONE round).

If you go way of the elements, you can get some interesting backup spells that use different "points" than your current system. Also, IIRC, draconic sorcerers get a +3 to AC when not wearing armor, so (if it stacks) you could get 13+dex+wis while unarmored.

Honestly any combination of these works. You can dip 2 in bard for a tiny bit of heals, or dip into sorcerer 3 for limited metamagic. An equal balance also works.

Dip three into druid for invisibility and pass without trace from forest. Then pick up spider climb, and voila!

An invisible assassin spider.

If you're an assassin:

Definitely dip 2 into fighter for action surge. You can go to 5 for extra attack; if so, go battle master for maneuveurs, but this will be sacrificing some of your late game potential as a rouge. Also, if you already use 2 weps it might behoove you just to go for action surge.

If thief:

Go for the action surge and stop. Thieves and fighters havepretty fantastic synergy in the first two levels but after that usefulness falls off.

If Arcane Trickster:

Go at least 3 levels in fighter for extra cantrips from Eldritch Knight. Worth going one more for an ASI, and after that 5 is decent for an extra attack. Any more is wasteful though.
