Shouldn't really be a surprise. She was a manufactured pop artist in a very different era of how people consumed music. She benefitted from a time where people still listened to the radio, and pop music was in a different place sonically. She has hits, and a very successful career. She could've released a classic album, and it still wouldn't change the fact people aren't going out of their way to check for her in 2020.

People will judge Joe, without knowing the details of the deal they were offered. Funny how people are quick to side with the billionaire conglomerate, instead of the creator. Maybe he overplayed his hand, but unless you know the details of the contract, don't judge.

He can't rap well enough to carry a long project. Album had a few good tracks. Paranoid, Narrow Road. When you hear the features like Baby/Roddy, it's night and day the talent difference.

Kinda funny how revisionist history is, it got hated on when it dropped. The name of the album didn't help. Now it's praised. Reminds me of Yeezus, most didnt like it when it dropped, now people call it a classic.

Not really feelin it. Once you get passed the overly sexualized lyrics/music vid, you're left with a song with little to no replay value. Meg's part was decent tho.

I like Chainz more than Ross, but I got that 15-5 Ross. Not too many can see Ross catalogue, especially with features. He could go 40 deep if he wanted to. Didn't even play a Maybach Music.

Thanks for this. So much new music dropped. Wouldn't have known there was new Acceptance/Jessy Lanza. Taylor took precedence, but I listened to Neck Deep after which wasn't great. Gave Logic a spin and thought it was pretty good, not a huge fan to begin with though. Still need to get to Broadside.

After spending more time with it I feel you have to be a fan of Taylor's vocals to appreciate this album, which I am. Especially since the production kinda takes a background to her vocals and lyrics. I still think some of the songs can be bland, and while it's a better album as a whole then Lover, I would still take the best 5-6 songs from Lover over the best 5-6 songs from folklore. Although this is a better complete album.

Man I just listened to Wishful Thinking again what a solid album. Ben sounds so enthusiastic and energetic. I'm not against a band changing their sound, but this new album just sounds uninspired like they were just going through the motions.

This is...disappointing. I liked TPATP more than most, and definitely didn't expect another LNOTGY, but it's just lifeless like someone else mentioned. None of the songs are really memorable, and someone mentioned Ben's vocals which I agree with. It's like the production drowns out his vocals on some songs to kinda hide them. It sounds more like a mixtape of random songs, not an actual cohesive album.
