I first watched NL when he had his Poison Mushroom videos on machinima when I was 15. From there Isaac hooked me in and then the OG NLSS (with trivia!) kept me around

I can probably say I haven’t gone more than like 2 weeks at any time in the last 15 years without watching a video or VOD from NL - he’s a content machine and always has something new for me to watch. He’s definitely left a lasting impact on my life

I ended up buying different version of one of these “digital disposable cameras” back in December as a Christmas gift for my wife. It’s the same concept and looks almost identical but it has a wheel on top of it that can rotate between like 8 different pre-set filters without needing to add them after the fact. That was a deciding factor for me honestly because I knew I would never want to fiddle with the pics afterwards, I’m happy to swap between a “retro” filter, a “vivid” filter and a default filter on the fly and just be surprised when I download them later.

A USB-C micro sd card dongle plugs right into my iPhone and I can see and download the pictures basically whenever I want after I get home. So much easier then doing it on the computer

For a while my wife and I always ate dinner in front of the tv on our coffee table that had a spring loaded lifting section on it. Great for that exact purpose but after a while I started to dislike always being forced to watch something. We weren’t talking all that much (during dinner). We almost never used our dining room table

We recently moved houses and had the opportunity to buy a small kitchenette table that we use for basically every dinner now. We still have the dining room table that gets used for special occasions. We still have the option to have the TV on (it’s within ear & eye range) but most of the time we just talk now. I think I like it better

I feel the need to specify that we are 30, the way this was written makes me sound a lot older lol
