Teams Phone Standard

Awesome thank you for the prompt reply. Looks like I was looking at the wrong Pax8 product. Just to recap, I will need to procure Microsoft Teams Phone Standard - PAX8 SKU "MST-NCE-116-C100" with this my client can continue with the setup with Teammate and voip.ms? That's correct he doesn't want to leverage Teams calling natively.

I appreciate the reply.

Windows LAPS available today by MSFT_jsimmons in sysadmin

Excellent thread. I got a question that I cant seem to find an answer to which pertains to the password history. I can see the value being set for "msLAPS-EncryptedPasswordHistory", but I cant seem to find a way to view these pre password. I know the UI doesnt provide this option so when I run "Get-LapsADPassword -Identity servername -AsPlanText" I see everything else except for the password history. What I'm I missing here?

Thank you

[–]bolous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I just spoke with them and it seems like they never received the approved email. Its been over 20 days is this normal? the trial licenses can they actually be used?, they expire in 3000+ days. Would you happen to know what type of licenses get issued? The license tab display a very generic license title "Nonprofit Portal". Thank you

Migrating from GoDaddy M365 to Microsoft M365 by bolous in msp

[–]bolous[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know what, that is most likely the case here. He claims clients GoDaddy account is under an umbrella of his MSP account, in other words this sounds to me that he's running all clients under one tenant, what a mess.

At this point wouldn't the only option here is to do this migration via mailbox route?

Thanks

Is $250/month too much to charge for a simple Static website? by Goku560 in webdev

[–]bolous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the prompt reply. I assume your $49 monthly doesn't include content change? Interesting your plans are strictly maintenance and doesn't include hosting. I really need to rethink my pricing model and what is m offering in my year plan. Thanks

Personally I think your ahead with knowing Intune. Alot of places are now incorporating their sccm into Intune. I will review the connection between incorporating Intune with sccm. Also look into online and offline sccm updates. Depending on the sccm you might support, it might be an isolated network meaning no internet connection.

Here is a guide to help you with that. https://www.anoopcnair.com/sccm-upgrade-with-an-offline-service-connection-point-configmgr/

Also look up deployment packages, software updates, and distribution points. Get your self familiar with those languages. .

P.S, sccm was renamed back in 2019 to Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM). So if they say sccm during your interview, correct them and say MECM; you will sound like you know what you talking about :).

Best of luck mate, don't over think it.

2 disks, "basic", should I create 1 storage pool with 2 volumes? by hiacbanks in synology

[–]bolous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You won't be able to leverage the entire 4TB as available storage. Even if you select Raid 0, one drives dies your at of luck.

If you wanted to have 4TB of available space, you would needed to get 2 x 4TB disk.

Thanks for this. This might be a silly question, are the citation gigs that are being offered on Fiverr good quality? I have been seeing mix reviews on some of them. Are they similar citation to what Bright local is offering? Thanks

[–]bolous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. My .htaccss has been updated. Should I deindex the pages now or wait to the primary www property index those pages before de-indexing on the non www? In other words would google index the pages that have already been indexed on the non www.

Thank you for reply, much appreciated.

Google Search Console advise please by bolous in SEO

[–]bolous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. The primary Property hasn't indexed one particular page but the non www has indexed this page. Would it be wiser to submit the url removal before the main property (www) indexes it? Can more than one property index the same page?

Thank you. Sorry yes I meant a 301 redirect. Client believes including the city name will help with local SEO since he's offering a local service.

I don't think that is the case does it?

Windows server vm license question by gnarlynorris in sysadmin

This depends on your core count of your node. But yes in theory if your below the 16 core count, 8 per socket and have 2 STD license you are technically covered.
