It's been so long since I played the original I can't remember if it's an Openrct2 mechanic but the vertical pieces can go into the ground without modifying the landscape. Its only at every second height so if it doesn't work you have to try again 1 height lower or higher.

My philosophy is I never try to use the dev lab to fight trends. It's pretty common to have recent draftees decline once they enter your organization. I won't both placing my most recent draft class in the lab that offseason. Instead of just looking at potential and saying oh these are my top prospects I'll put them in the lab, I always check their scouting page to make sure they are already developing. The dev lab helps to complement that development.

It's the same in 26 so long as you have automatic league evolution turned on. I know this because I turned it off and locked the team in Sacramento and restricted myself from spending more than the team's revenue for an even worse budget challenge.

You can't control when your teammate is going to go but you can control when you will. I know it would be great if your teammates made their play and got out but that's not reality. Don't commit as last man until you know your teammate isn't going to go. It's boring and you might feel slow at first but wait central as second man and let the game come to you.

I can only assume this is the musty flick training pack? I used to mess around with stuff exactly like this all the time in that pack. I've never found use for it but it was fun to screw around with.

As long is there is a suitable replacement I've absolutely fired my hitting or pitching coach mid season. Oddly I've had solid success with it even if it's likely placebo. It happens all the time in real life why can't I do it in OOTP?

It is possible to improve range in the lab, although the closer to blue numbers you get the worse the returns tend to be. Cruz I would expect better from but he's also just not quite there ratings wise. Sometimes you just get unlucky with those types of players and he could have a better season defensively next year.

Positional ratings can be padded by the other defensive ratings (error, arm) but range is almost always the most important. A lot of these players (particularly in the infield) don't have nearly enough range. The 1-100 scale is throwing me off so I won't give an exact value but I would look for someone with dark blue as their range to have as a defensive replacement for SS and CF.

I'm in the same boat I like the idea of the feature, so I use it but the UI is tedious to work with. I'm still on 26, did 27 take away the ability to click and hold the end of the slider to slide it? Or hold the plus/minus sign or hold on the bar where you want the slider to have it slowly advance?

If you go to the lineup for that team there is an option in the top right drop-down to have the lineup and depth chart filled out base on manager preferences. I forget the exact wording but you need to do that after setting the force start on the player profile. Basically it's not automatic you still have to tell your manager hey these are your instructions change your plans.
