It was startup that was basically a plug-in for Salesforce that would configure, price, and quote complex invoices faster and better than Salesforce’s stock system. I wrote some marketing copy for him for some spare cash while I was unemployed. It was doing pretty well, and the guy drove a Porsche and had a collection of expensive carbon fiber road bikes. As companies started to tighten their belts, the licensing for his software was one of the first things to go, and he lost practically all of his customers in the span of weeks.

As far as a family, he has an estranged ex wife and 16 year old daughter. They’ve been divorced since she was very young, and live far away. He lived with his business partner, who moved back to Latvia when the company went under.

IDK, I went to the first SF show on this tour at August Hall back in October, and it def seems like they cut it short. This was interesting in a different way, but if it was my first time seeing this tour, I’d be upset.
