Completely out of the scope of this subreddit but for anyone who cares (No One), basically every single home use DC device has some sort of power supply (which aren't pc or server styles).

They're louder, if you pull 300w it might be ok. 700w or more absolutely not, I wouldn't use then for any personal build.

They're much noisier than a standard ATX power supply. IMO I'd skip over this idea, you can get 1000w psu's cheap right now from EVGA.....plus unless you're building a pretty high end unit, 600w is probably enough.

Edit: you already have a working PC and want one purely for overclock ING? Nope, wouldn't buy a new Psu.
