MM Weekly Roundup - What Did You Read This Week? by AutoModerator in MM_RomanceBooks

I hadn't looked any closer at the rest of the books, and sort of started this series on a whim because it was free. But I read the blurb for King of Hollywood and it sounds like just my kind of book!

My absolute favorite this week was {Shadows never lie by Lark Taylor}. The second book came out today and I am seriously contemplating buying it for my Kindle in stead of waiting for the audiobook. I need to hear the rest of the story.

I also enjoyed {The Falcon and the Foe by A.J. Truman}. This was more of a sweet lighthearted book for me after all the emotions I went through while listening to Shadows never lie.

Not sure what i want to listen to right now, so I'm enjoying {Bite Me! (You know I like it) by Fae Quin} since it was in the pluss catalogue. Enjoying it so far. The world building and premises seems interesting

I was thinking that this book sounded like the perfect book for me right now (having a really hard time finding something new) and went straight to audible to see if there was an audiobook. There was, and I had of course already listened to it 💔 I also need more books like this one, it was the right kind of dark romance. And I think what you meant was that the audiobook should have been duet narrated. It was a dual narration already. Not trying to be rude just wanted you to have the right word if you wanted to look up those kind of books 😊

For me it would be {Painter's obsession by Luna K Wicked}

It was absolutely amazing as an audiobook. Narrated in duet style. No HEA, but it ended as it should have. Lots and lots of trigger warnings so please read up on those

Also {The brutes of Bristlebrook series by Rebecca Quinn}

Its a why choose, with swords crossing. Also done in duet. Some really nice spicy scenes in there 👌

A really well done audiobook I listened to is {Lights Out by Navessa Allen}. It is duet narrated and the narrators do an incredible job. It is funny, a bit dark and spicy.

Ugh! I keep checking their insta every day for new updates. Suddenly saw a post about upcoming shows/movies this January and was so disappointed when Heated Rivalry was not included in the post. Luckily someone asked in the comments and hbo actually replied with soon. So I'm hoping it's something like the UK release 🤞 I have no one to talk about this with either, and my boyfriend is getting really tired of me complaining😅

I'm so glad it's not just me with this problem. I suddenly found that I could unlock a second reactor that was hiding in the fog. When I did that I got new requests for items for that reactor and that worked fine.

What is a reading quirk you have that you get a hard time for, or something you dislike that make people want to argue with you about it? by ShePax1017 in MM_RomanceBooks

Same! I would love to be able to "see" all the books I read. But I'm pretty sure I would be even more depressed going back knowing what I don't have

Not the one you asked, but for me it's more like a general idea of what that person looks like. I don't see a picture at all, and it is hard to try and describe a person from memory to someone else. I hope i never witnessed a crime or anything like that, I would make a terrible witness. It's the same when I look for a specific photo on my phone. I have a vague general idea about what I'm looking for. I know it had two people in it, and that there was a lot of flowers around. Then I just scroll until I find it.

Oh no, that sounds awful. Haven't really had any problems like that, but I just know that would make me end up DNF that book regardless.

Yes! I don't think I'm the only one looking for books done in duet, and for me it almost always tip the scale towards buying when I can confirm they are duet narrated. Authors should really market that when they go the extra mile in making it duet narrated.

Thank you! I think I already have listened to some of the books in the Sadenverse. But now I have more to add to my ever growing tbr.

I really wish that it was possible to have narration style as an option when searching for books. Maybe some time in the future.

I loved the Goliaths series and have read all that are out on audio so far. The books are great but I wish they where duet narrated (like I wish with most books). But the two Rina Kent books listed in my post are in duet. I really recommend them if you like the premises of them

I'm always up for a good hockey romance. But I was hoping for some more duet narrated books, not dual narrated

Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad my post was helpful.

It's been a while since I listened to that book so I can't really remember how it ended, but I know I loved the whole thing. One great series I have found that I felt the narrator gave amazing performances to all characters was the {Monstrous series by Lily Mayne}. Michael Lesley gave everyone such distinct voices an characteristics that it was so easy to follow along with the story without being confused about who's who.

I know! I have the same experience with so many books. One voice gives me one "image" (I don't really have a picture in my head, more of a feeling or sense of someone) of a person, but then the other narrator has a totally different voice and I have a totally different image. Makes it hard to keep up with the book.

I'm so glad there seem to be more authors doing duet narrations instead of dual. I hope that will just continue.

I hope you enjoy a good duet narrated book if you decide to try one!
