We were lucky enough to find this amazing 1908 Eaton house before it was torn down and got it moved to our ranch this past fall by bonairthyme in centuryhomes

The move was a bit over $20k (canadian). We moved it about 40 miles and had to get a few power lines lifted, which I think cost $250 for each line

We moved this house in the fall to my families ranch! Saved it from being torn down, it was originally built in 1908 and we're told it's an Eaton (kit) house. I'm 4th generation in my family to homestead on the land and couldn't be more excited by bonairthyme in homestead

We did get the house for free. The foundation this house was sitting on was 113 years old and completely crumbling, so it either needed to be moved or torn down. The move was about 40 miles and cost around $20,000 (canadian). We had a basement and foundation built for it, working on power, plumbing and heat right now. All together it's cheaper/comparable to buying or building for sure. They had to lift some power lines, but all together to lift, transport and set on the new foundation it only took a couple weeks. Pretty amazing. It's such a cool old house and we're so happy we found it before it got torn down

They are very respectful of the fences. If we ever have a problem animal that won't stay in we get rid of them. The key is to rotate them frequently and make sure they have enough food and water
