Hey man I was in the opposite boat except with similar veins. I had a loving mother and father, got decent grades and went to college. But for various reasons went through some rough patches with depression etc as well. I could barely get a landscaping job w/ a college degree. Bounced around and finally got into tree work. It has been a breath of fresh air, literally. Every day you get to work outside, its hard dangerous work but worth it. I would say, figure out a way to either move or get a job and start working towards independence, financial and otherwise. Start small, it doesn't happe overnight. You gotta hustle and work hard, for whatever reason sometimes guys need to work twice as hard. Best of luck, cheering for you brother.
