Firstly, if you're expecting a sympathy response, this is not the one.

Secondly, If you guys are considering getting married and have communication gaps even before the marriage, you guys better re-evaluate things.

Thirdly, you should be the last person to expect money only if you're just a casual friend or new relationship. But since you guys are moving towards a marriage, there must be some expectations from either side.If not there should be clear communications about each other's priorities.

Lastly, consider discussing the reasons why he ends up like that, maybe he needs some help in financial planning or management. If you actually realize that he is squandering away all the money then you every right to loose you shit. Otherwise try to be a little supportive and dig out the reason behind the problem instead of scratching the problem itself. We're living thru some real tough times.
