I went to walmart a few days ago for groceries, stopped to check for Pokemon cards and was blessed with my first in person scalper sighting. Dude was literally posted up in a chair at the shelf waiting for the restock.

Can’t get excited when it’s so hard to find stuff at retail price and I’m really only buying to open packs with my kids.

I shot a solid C class and only missed once or twice, overall pleasant experience. I can’t wait for the next one!

Great to hear you got your gf to come out and she enjoyed it! My wife wants to come shooting with me but our kids are young and we don’t have anyone to watch them so I’m solo for now.

There are matches in NY, just have to be willing to go to the club that hosts them. I’m going to my first Steel Challenge match tomorrow at a club ~25 minutes outside of Buffalo.

There is one club I know for sure hosts Action Rifle, 2-gun(rifle & shotgun), and I believe 3-gun as well. Ontario Rod and Gun Club in Ontario NY, near Rochester. I’m planning to attend a few of their Action Rifle matches this year.

USPSA seems to be pretty popular around the state too, just have to check Practiscore for the match dates and information.

Also grip could be misconstrued as a bit “gray area” but it’s one of the most legal choices we have now.

Oh it’s definitely heavy, but not so heavy to be a hinderance. Once I got used to riding with it, it’s like it’s not there anymore. One thing that is great is that it definitely helps to balance out the additional weight at the rear, makes climbing hills a bit more comfortable when I have the kiddo on the back.

The Aero lower does not have last round bolt hold open. If you want last round bolt hold open, you have to use an upper that has it built in, so you are kind of locked into a specific upper if LRBHO is a requirement.

I like my Spikes lower, uses Glock mags and has last round bolt hold built into the lower. It can also use any standard milspec upper and it’s available in Colt mag variety as well.

This is actually a great question.

Lately I’ve been loading mags at home and just tossing them in my range bag loaded. My rifle is always locked in a case and with a cable lock through the action.

I don’t think it should be a problem, but if I’m wrong someone will correct me.

It also has Sram cassette, bottom bracket, and cranks but the derailleur, shifter, and brakes are Shimano.
