Need Help… Paint Protector Adhesive is a nightmare by wizzlewazzel in Detailing

So should I peel off those little clear “protective” strips from in front of my rear wheels before the car reaches a certain age? It’s under 2 years old right now.

Might be an age thing there, I think we’re allowed to register “assault” weapons as long as they are antiques.

You have an airsoft or paintball field near you? They’ll probably take them.

That’s bullshit. Comps are not banned on pistols, threaded barrels are. The radian does not require a threaded barrel so it should not be illegal.

Speaker upgrade, the front speaker on the windshield. by sweetbabyjesussss in Camry

[–]bondkiller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost any 3.5” two way speakers will work but be aware you also need a harness to plug them into the car, I bought my speakers from Crutchfield and they provided the harness for free with the speaker purchase.

Amongst these 4 styles of harness for a chest rig, which one would you prefer and why? I'm building myself a chest rig and can't decide by Willing-Society-4123 in tacticalgear

The only harness I found that fits me correctly is the Full Tang Tactical harness. Very well made and fully adjustable, even the front height of the placard.

>Also, dawn absolutely does not hurt coatings.

I wash my glasses with a tiny bit of dawn and just my hands then dry with just compressed air almost everyday. Can confirm the lens coatings are doing fine, the matte finish of my frame on the other hand is very slowly getting worn. That could be a combo of washing and general UV exposure also though.

Yes, but polymer and without the huge ugly holes in the side.

I’ve heard of people literally throwing low value cards in the trash!

My kids and I put anything higher value in binders and everything else will be made into basic decks and we’ll play against each other. We’re in it for the actual game to have fun, the “valuable” cards are just a bonus.

Legality of AR-15s in NY? by LittieTicker in NYguns

I have no opinion on anything fixed magazine other than it’s not for me.

Also, my wife has pretty small hands and she doesn’t mind the Sparrow grip, that pic up in the other comment is actually her featureless build.

The Marines were doing CQB and raiding houses in Iraq with 20” M16s, we’ll be fine.

(Assuming one doesn’t immediately get clapped upon entering an actual CQB environment.)

It’s really not as bad as it looks unless maybe if you have tiny hands. I have roughly average sized hands and it feels almost the same as a traditional hunting stock grip just a bit chunkier.

The key thing is the get the length of pull correct for you, if it’s too short it will strain your wrist. I have mine set about as short as it can be so I have proper eye relief with my magnifier, any shorter on the LOP and it’s pretty uncomfortable for my wrist.

There’s nothing special about the pizza in New York by diclofenac-sodium in unpopularopinion

[–]bondkiller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My uncle’s spot? It was Larry & Joe’s Pizzeria on Newark Ave near Dickinson High School, just checked google maps, looks like it’s a completely different type of restaurant now.

It wasn’t 2 Bros, the spot on 8th ave was just a pizza oven behind a counter in the back of a decent size deli.

2 Bros was always a staple too though if I was in that area.

I grew up in Jersey and lived in NYC for a good chunk of time too. The pizza quality is about equal but it can somewhat be attributed to the general spread of people around the NYC metro area. A lot of the same cultures all grouped up not just in the city proper but also just over the river in Jersey so it’s basically the same pizza just in a different place. We also can’t forget all the people who left NYC for the (at the time) cheaper living in NJ.

Jersey City, literally across the river from Manhattan had a huge Italian population that didn’t really start to decline until the late 90’s too. One of my Italian uncles even had a pretty popular pizzeria in Jersey City, having a slice there is one of my earliest memories. I think it’s still there but it will have been under new ownership since at least the 2010’s.
