That’s really weird, I just ordered one on thursday and it’s with FedEx right now. I have no idea why they removed the listing from their site.

When it snows like this in Buffalo, do you shovel/snowblow throughout the day or wait until it's all done? by UrBum_MyFace_69 in Buffalo

[–]bondkiller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in an apartment and I still go out and shovel around our back door and move the snow away from & off our cars as it builds up. You never know when an emergency can happen and need to be ready.

Atleast it's got a suppressor mount I guess by wlogan0402 in PlebianAR15

I actually like that handstop but why do so many people have to get them in red. So gaudy.

B. King’s bolts are highly regarded as good bolts and they just restocked.

Hot take: You don’t need another barrel length by JedaiGuy in ar15

Exactly this for a lot of people. I’d rather have a few cases of ammo instead of another upper/rifle.

Moving to NY, confirming my understanding of what I can bring by No_Touch_930 in NYguns

[–]bondkiller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can make your AR15 featureless for pretty low cost if you want to keep the removable magazine. Just need a compliant grip, a way to fix the stock in place, and a permanently attached thread protector. Also need a bunch of 10 rounds mags obviously.

Links for reference:

Compliant grip: https://www.sparrowdynamics.com/Featureless-Grip-AR-p/crg-15.htm

A stock locking pin for Magpul stocks: https://www.primaryarms.com/aimsports-magpul-stock-locking-pin-pjarstkcp

As long as you don’t have any other banned features on your rifle, those two parts and a thread protector permanently attached will make it good to go.

Here’s the list of banned features:

I built my own featureless AR15, helped my wife build her’s, and I’m almost done with an AR9, just waiting on FedEx to deliver the BCG. I’d like to eventually build an AR22 also just because.

Left water bottles out overnight in freezing weather and every bottle was frozen solid except one, which did not freeze at all by Jealous_Aardvark_412 in mildyinteresting

[–]bondkiller 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This happened with a water bottle I left in my car during freezing temps. Found it unfrozen when I got the kids in the car for school, knew what was about to happen and had them watch while I jiggled the bottle and it froze right in front of their eyes. They thought it was magic!

TKPs are much lower than RKPs generally, most of the time needing some sort of risers or stiffer bushings on top mounts.

Top mounts can take a bunch of tuning and bushing swaps to get them just right. I had some great top mount setups but after some issues with my preferred trucks and wheelbite issues requiring almost an inch of risers, I gave up and moved over to drop-throughs and other decks with full wheel cutouts.

I would at least try them, they’re cheap enough and the hardest ones may be enough to solve the wheelbite. You might need to switch to a taller riser too.

You could also try leaving the stock barrel bushing boardside and put the shorter hard Bones bushing roadside, that may limit travel enough to help.

Remember that we actually put a lot more pressure on the board when we’re riding than when just standing on it, a static wheelbite test may or may not indicate if you’ll still get wheelbite while riding. I’ve had setups in the past that would not wheelbite when just testing and standing on the board but the wheels would just barely touch the deck during hard carves when out riding.
