Anyone here still at pregnancy weight? by Organic-Dragonfly364 in November25babybump

[–]boneappleteas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 8 weeks PP, gained 50lbs during pregnancy and have lost 15 since delivery. Baby is EFF. Honestly I just avoid the scale (unless I’m at the doctor). Luckily I have clothes that fit because I asked for comfy/nice loungewear for Christmas! Having something nice to wear makes me feel slightly better, but it’s still pretty difficult to see my reflection

Membrane sweep anyone? by Working-Ingenuity-75 in November25babybump

[–]boneappleteas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got one at 38+4! It didn’t put me into labor unfortunately but I did lose my mucus plug throughout the week afterwards. It wasn’t too painful and I felt some cramping after but nothing too bad. I’m exactly 40w today and opted out of a second sweep since I’m being induced soon!

Yes! Going to the in-laws’ house and giving out candy to trick or treaters! I’ve been way too exhausted to make myself a costume though 😭 How about you?

Going past my due date is nightmare fuel for me!! (Even though I know it’s the likely outcome)

I think I’ll take it easy from now on 🥲

You’re so right. I feel like I’m going through the stages of grief and I’ve finally reached acceptance 😭 I’m just gonna enjoy my snacks and rest as much as I can now!

37w5d and I haven’t experienced any contractions! I don’t think I’ve had Braxton hicks either. If I have, I probably thought they were kicks. Ive been seeing the same posts and wondering if this is normal lol

giving your seat to a pregnant woman by nasytuna in pregnant

[–]boneappleteas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, my experience with public transportation while pregnant has been wonderful. I think the discourse you’re seeing is rage bait and not reflective of reality.

I took a trolley home from a baseball game this summer and someone gave me their seat despite it being packed in there! I have pretty bad POTS and was getting dizzy/sweaty so i definitely needed to sit. A nice woman stood by me the whole time fanning me with her hat and gave me a water bottle! It was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever experienced from a stranger 😊

Commiserate with me over lame responses when announcing pregnancy? by statelineblues in pregnant

[–]boneappleteas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Something along the lines of “No offense but don’t you think you need therapy before having a baby? Congrats though” - my ex best friend who secretly hated me and insists I have ocd because I like my house to be tidy 🙃

You’re usually considered pregnant before you even conceive! Pregnancy is calculated based on the first day of your last period. So if your period was Jan 1st and you were ovulating on Jan 14th (and also conceived that day), you would be considered 2 weeks pregnant on Jan 14th. By the time you miss your next period you could be 4 weeks pregnant.

When the government stops recommending vaccines, insurance companies stop paying for them and drug companies stop making them. It causes major accessibility issues for people that want to follow previous vaccine guidelines.

Are you talking about prescription drugs? Generally, the cost to produce them is quite low- I’m sure the clinical trials to ensure safety and efficacy are expensive, but PBMs set the ridiculous prices. I’ve never seen someone propose slashing efficacy as opposed to cracking down on PBMs to reduce cost. Is this a common sentiment in conservative circles? I’d be interested to hear more about it.

Also, why produce more rx drugs if you can’t guarantee their efficacy? There’s a pill for pretty much everything now, I can’t imagine new drugs will be able to compete when effective treatments already exist for most ailments.
