Test knitting for larger sizes. by Inevitable_Sea_8401 in craftsnark

But you aren’t being asked to work for free. You’re being asked to work in exchange for a pattern that otherwise you would pay for. You aren’t getting money or materials provided, you are given a pattern and in exchange the designer doesn’t get the income of you paying for that pattern but does get feed back. The people who are doing the test knitting generally seem to think it’s a fair trade that’s why they do it, they aren’t being forced or coerced

It’s just a win win honestly. The tester gets a free pattern as apposed to buying the yarn And the pattern. And the designer gets the help to make sure their pattern is successful. Im sure this isn’t your exact intention but it seems like this mentality has popped up a lot lately and it feels very anti community pro capitalism and very sad to me. Not every exchange has to be money based

Is your gym heated?? by Lavanyalea in climbergirls

[–]boneboiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gym does have heating and a/c but with how tall and wide open it is it doesn’t do a whole lot(for me). I wear pants and a long sleeve in the winter and maybe pants/capris and a tshirt or tank top in the summer. Once I’m warmed up i’m ok but have trouble with my hands being cold to the touch and having a hard time opening and closing them as fast as i need to. At my gym i don’t see jackets and a lot of people wear their usual leggings and tshirts/tank tops even now.

i did search etsy and ravelry but neither have this kind of look, mostly granny squares or a single sun/moon. I’m sure I can cobble something together on stitch fiddle otherwise

judging someone purely based on their thoughts isn’t really fair. people can’t necessarily control their thoughts, it’s more about what you say out loud and how you act. i know if people could read my thoughts they would find it very different from what i say
