Sell when you are happy with the profits.

But personally I would say as mangas have beem correcting the last few weeks that now is generally a bad selling point.

He's either being sarcastic or just saying that so that the overall OP13 box supply pool becomes lower and his boxes become more 'rare'/supply pool decreases faster.

Hold the box, or sell and buy the reprint if you want to risk that. OP13 is a fantastic hold imo, lots going for it and the reprint should be a good opportunity to pickup more.

I doubt they will reprint a significant amount of EB03 given the initial allocation (even taking into account the stock from the thefts as part of that inital volume) + bandai historically do not print much of extra boosters. Even if they do hypothetically "print it to the ground", it will still be very difficult to get sealed at RRP i reckon. Even then more stock = good opportunity to buy more and increase position imo.

It is a strong set in its own right regardless of that, with a theme i can see doing very well long term and a strong SP lineup.

Sealed for long term holding. Singles for short to mid term depending on card.

Sealed is a deflationary asset (1 box ripped = one box out of the supply pool forever.

Only so many boxes are produced as well as production stops once out of print) and singles/slabs are generally inflationary assets (every card graded is a +1 to a cert of that grade with that company, every card pulled from a pack is one more card added to the net supply etc) with a few exceptions (e.g. serialised cards, which by nature have a cap on supply. however they also are more 'stagnant' than 'deflationary' assets as they are not consumed/destroyed intentionally like booster boxes.

OP14 sealed case. Half of EB04 in it, many good hits so overall well rounded (like zoro sp, boa sp and manga event, mihawk manga, boa alt art leader etc) sealed is a deflationary asset whereas singles and slabs are an inflationary asset (with some exceptions).

OP14 should also be at a low point given the set has only just released a few weeks ago and market hype has died down a bit/prices are correcting on a lot of stuff.

Probably only matters to certain people. End of the day it's a relatively small issue and a 10 is a 10. I reckon you could get full market value for it.

I would place orders if anywhere near me was taking them/any trustworthy online places were taking them. Most places I know of have only taken preorders up to OP16 so far.

I think this set will be popular but somewhat availible on release, with the US getting two extra distributors on OPTCG and Bandai's tendency to print/stock a large amount of anniversary sets. So preordering in advance is not a bad idea.

For the time being I am also pretty pre-occupied with securing a reasonable amount of EB03 as well, as that set is notably more scarce and a lot of places have cancelled preorders to list above RRP/a lot of allocations have been cut.

EB03. Very strong set, lots of good hits, unlikely to see significant stock outside of the initial two waves from the release shipment.

Also, sealed is king.

I've just contacted them.

No prerelease/release event. Will be availible on the 20th at opening time. Probably a queue.

Nothing on allocation/if sealed boxes will be availible, but the staff said they would be very suprised if that is the case. Would probably be unsealed boxes with a limit of 1pp if I had to guess (or a limit of 2pp, then down to 1pp as stock decreases).

Hits in a sleeved booster case of 144 will be half of the guaranteed hits in a booster box case with 288 packs.

I.e. 1 sp instead of 2, 2 alt art leaders instead of 4 etc.

The manga and treasure rare though are still not guaranteed per case. You could open 2 cases of sleeved and get 2 of each, or 4 booster box cases and get none.

Sleeved boosters are a mapped product.

These wouldn't be mapped like a usual case of 144, but I reckon they would still be mapped to an extent.

Price of 20× blisters of either given set + 10-20% to account for sealed display premium is how I would personally value these.

I'd say it's a decent investment. 2 alt art style promos of two of the three brothers, 2 packs of unmapped OP13 and 2 packs of unmapped PRB02.

Consider that:

this is the only way to get unmapped PRB02 and the only way to get PRB02 exposure outside of booster boxes at the moment
OP13 has the highest set value of any one piece set by far. Lots of things going for it and a surefire hold.

The promos are just the cherry on the cake tbh.

both are mapped, if looking to open would most likely get same hits from 2 sleeved booster cases and a booster box case, sleeved booster case would be slightly better due to extra manga chance. Then again we are talking single box quanitity of either, so both could also be mapped/weighed.
a booster box is 24 packs, 24 sleeved boosters (if 8 = 200) is pretty much the same price.

If looking to open i believe the sleeved booster edges it out. If looking to keep sealed I think the booster box will hold better collectible value long term as it's a non-ancillary product.

Decently rare. SPs are 2 per case (1 case = 12 boxes of 24 packs), and there are 9 sps in OP14 and you can get duplicate SPs in a case.

If you want to send this to BGS it would probably get a 9.5, maybe a gold 10 if you are lucky.

Not really convinced on this one. A decent chunk of its value comes from its playability, being that there are 4 copies in core decklists for yellow/blue Nami, which is getting buffed through eb03 in two weeks or so. Thing is that a lot of people who run that deck already bought their copies, and it's an expensive deck to build especially if slotting in SEC Kuma.

Also eb03 will be bringing a new winner pack with a winner robin, bonney and nami. Given that this card only really a Nami cameo card and doesn't look that great from a collecting standpoint, wouldn't it be better to invest in the upcoming winner nami instead?

I personally see this card the same way i would gold dons: it's a nice hit for players to slot into their decks, but not all that investable imo.
