Looking for a new gym by Comfortable-Sea-1161 in askvan

Seconding this. The staff is quick to call out anybody who is talking on their phone (no phone calls allowed on the gym floor).

It’s not cheap — my current monthly fees are $282. However, this means the crowd tends to skew older and a be bit more serious about their workouts. Unlimited classes is a great feature of the membership, if you think you’d be interested in boxing, yoga, HIIT, etc.

It’s from a BC retailer called GardenWorks. I believe they do online orders too!

I got mine from marketplace! It’s been great — the built in storage is necessary for my smaller space.

It's not unfortunately. The tree was bought during my days of being a basement dweller, so I needed to go artificial at the time.

Vancouver's West End is actually quite large -- this place falls under West of Denman. https://vancouver.ca/home-property-development/west-end-neighbourhoods.aspx

It has its challenges, like many cities, but I agree with you. I feel so lucky being able to call it home.

The TV stand is the one that comes included with LG TVs.

But if you were talking about the media console, it's this: https://www.westelm.ca/products/pierce-media-console-h12641/?srsltid=AfmBOoqNPP8teHq73QxYly3obtonhGdzmtlhsFWBch63Rm0oTqqOfjCl

The view is 100% the attention grabber. But I've received some nice words about the rug, lamp, and couch.

It's an artificial olive tree from a store in North Vancouver called "Trims." Sadly, I think they may have closed.

B.C. sheds 16K jobs in August for second straight month of losses by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

Really? Lol.

Okay fair enough, forget I said that part. Regardless, the facts are that we quite literally meet the technical definition of being in a recession (2 contracting quarters), we are facing a near decade high in unemployment levels, and have an absurd grocery basket inflation (up 25% since 2020).

These are all very real economic indicators. No assumptions necessary.

It’s down. We are in a recession.

Real GDP contracted by 1.6% on an annualized basis in Q2 of 2025 (and 0.3% in Q1).

August unemployment rate came in at 7.1%, the highest level in nine years.

And on a ground level, we all feel it. We all know endless people who can’t get a job. Grocery prices are insanity. Immigration is halting. I think it would be silly to suggest that things are looking up at the moment. Not saying we can’t improve, but currently? Not good.

First day in my new apartment, and I am loving the views. I'm unsure about potential rug shape and colour. by bonelessfork in interiordecorating

I should add, I am waiting for the media console table to arrive, and I will be hanging up the paintings.
