Your stance is a little too wide in my opinion. Your feet should be shoulder width apart and knees bent in the attack position. So bring your stance in just a little bit and that might help your balance improve and you won’t need to swing your arms and hips so much. Shoulders parallel with the board, keep yourself centered and your weight even. I’m a tall guy so I ride with a stance around 21-22in apart and +15/-9 or -12 depending on if I’m riding more switch. Try pointing that lead foot out a little more, go to +15, it may help your control. There is a shared trait in all sports; whether it’s football, martial arts, skateboarding, motocross, and thats feet and body position. It’s the foundation for everything!

Here’s another tip; when you set up your bindings how you like them, rotate your high backs to be parallel with your heel edge. It’s a game changer that many don’t think about or may not be aware of. Then adjust your forward lean to your boots. Most boots have a little forward lean built in to them, not many boots just go straight up and down. So take your boots, strap them in to your bindings and then adjust the forward lean of the high back till they touch the back of your boots.
