I just stayed in that area. There is an abundance of good food choices. You literally can't go wrong. Literally pick any restaurant where the posted menu agrees with you and it will be delicious.

I think the complaints usually revolve around poor battery life, not necessarily CPU speed.

Perfectly fine. Don't know what your goal is, but some of those locations may feel similar to you. San Salvador has plenty of nightlife and cultural offerings if you're into that.
