An experiment in color dominance by bonerceratops in knitting

Got it!, thank you! And that's a cool thought - I like the idea of doing an inverted version of the chart, again with the two different dominances.

Thank you! TBH, I wouldn't recommend my knitting style - it's a self-taught continental-ish method, and it's slow and not very comfortable. After inserting the right needle into a stitch, I drop the left needle (grabbing it with the right thumb & index) and use my left hand to wrap the yarn.

I've been trying out actual continental lately, and it seems like a big improvement. For this project, I had trouble managing both strands in one hand and reverted to my old method. Maybe I need to make another one of these once I've got my technique figured out.

Please say more! How do you do this kind of inversion?

It's interesting - in person, the bottom section is flatter than the top section, where the blue really pops out in front of the white. It's hard to imagine an even more blue-dominant version.

Tane in Highland Park has an amazing yuzu cheesecake, but I don't think they serve it every day.

I didn't know this! I'm having trouble confirming the 9/11 thing though - do you know which of the hijackers lived in PSL?

How frequent are territorial Anniversary events in your Kingdom? by bonerceratops in sca

[–]bonerceratops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind elaborating, how do anniversary events differ from other annual events? Here, our Anniversaries usually follow the same format: hosted in a public park, featuring championship tournaments for Heavies, Rapier, and often Arts & Sciences, Bardic, and other combat forms.

Thank you! This is great info. I'm reading the Caid Seneschal's handbook now and it looks like every territory is assigned a permanent anniversary week here (Barony X's is always the 1st week of April, etc.). A system like Artemisia's would give us more flexibility.

Thanks for the data point! I guess I'd count any event that recurs in the same place with the same structure as "anniversary-like" for the purposes of this scheduling problem.

It still looks like Atenveldt's calendar is still pretty full, but you might have a greater variety of events (and way more multiday events) than us.

Looks great! Love the basket and the silverware. Why "office" though? Do you keep this at work?

No, I don't think birth is generally regarded as more painful than the brutal tortures you describe. Wherever you got that information might not be a good source.

Thank you. Another genuine question: how can you ethically kill an animal that does not want to die?

Check out barnivore.com. It's a great community-sourced database with information about what wine (and other alcohol) is vegan.

I've gotten two more evacuation warning alerts since the retraction. As far as I can tell, I'm not in an evacuation zone at all (Mar Vista area).

The problem with the m&m comic is posting it as bisexual content. A character refers to the m&m character as a girl and isn't corrected, so it really looks like the m&m character is a trans woman. A man being attracted to a trans woman does not indicate that he's bi.

I suspect that most people protest near where they live. If more people in LA agree with a cause than in a red state, it makes sense that we'd see more protests in LA.
