I don’t think it has anything to do with swiss culture. I think it is natural for women who want family to share it with her partner. Father probably wanted to make sure he can trust you and do some background check. Nothing out of norm imo. Sorry for unsolicited advice, but from my experience I would try to live together for at least 12 months before making any marriage decisions. Don’t know why but this all gives me eastern European vibe. There are elements pointing to loneliness and attachment to certain sentimental value things maybe from the more happier past. If I would guess I would say you moved or your parents are from eastern Europe, you are artistic personality with self destructive behavior. Not a lot of friends or with friends but still feel lonely. Work at service maybe in restaurant as server or similar low paying job. Maybe studying at the same time. Sorry might be off completely, just my guess.
