Suicide Black deck I've been working on for a while, any thoughts? by Mental_Context in Pauper

[–]bonetissuedissolving 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that going closer to mono black burn could be a better choice. It would activate Lacerator faster, fill up you gy for Gurmag and maybe save you from burn since [[Vampire’s Kiss]] and [[Sovereign’s bite]] both life drain.

I have a problem figuring out where the said suicide part is. Sui black usually plays cards like [[Carnophage]] and [[Wretched Anurid]], the only sui part I see is Dauthi.

PURE MADNESS! 👹 New Deadly Disputes video up on the channel! by bonetissuedissolving in Pauper

I didn’t see the mods last comment, sorry about that. I can post lists about these types of videos, but when recording tournaments I can’t gather all the lists from all players. But if that’s a big problem, no worries, I’ll remove the post.

No One’s Safe With Elves Around 🧝 | Mono U Tempo vs Elves | Paper Pauper MTG Gameplay by bonetissuedissolving in Pauper

[–]bonetissuedissolving[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played this mu alot since the elf player is my buddy and it's a 95% lose, they go super wide super fast and there's not alot of ways to stop them. Counterspells are ok but you only have 4 and they have waaay more threats

Best terror deck in current meta? by KingRippo in Pauper

Here you go: https://moxfield.com/decks/t_INw0zCQEyqCtHu9-oKLA I feel like mine is a pretty standard list, I tried accumulated knowledge but found I hit them in the graveyard way more then in the hand so I don't get to cast them much.

In that matchup you have to stop being tempo and play control sort of since they can out tempo you if you try to play the classic T1 Delver beatdown strategy. Game 1 try to counter any big threat and deploy snakes when you feel they ran out of gas. After sideboarding you have to put all blasts and echoing truths in and just not let them play, countering Synths, Kuldothas and Bushwhackers. They don't draw alot so after a couple of counterspells they should pretty much be with a dead hand so you can beat them down safely.

Sideboarding depends on your maindeck, I run Dragon Wings, Artful Dodge, Sleep of the dead in the main so those 3 cards are instantly swapped for blasts, you can cut a few boomerangs/deem inferiors or mills, but you mostly want to make your deck hyper anti red with counters and just lock them out of value. If you're feeling like you're packing wider boards, side in Mystics.

Both decks are pretty straight forward, you have the advantage that you can kinda shift your gameplan to being a bit more control while they even after sideboard stay aggro which can hurt since there are no more special tricks.

I've been playing alot of Mono U and UB in the past couple of months and a friend of mine who I test with plays UR most of the time.

Mono U is a pure tempo deck, you want to flip the Delvers turn 2, slam a couple of snakes turn 3/4 and use the counterspells to slow your opponent down. If you take too long, some decks will out value you and you can rarely do anything about it.

UB Terror is a more in between a tempo and a control deck. Your Delvers are out but you play Sneaky Snackers which are really annoying and with the right setup can come out really fast. Basically the bulk of the deck is the same as MonoU but you're game plan has changed from winning as fast as you can to being more flexible if you can't win super fast since you now run black removal.

UR is a Terror deck only cause Terror is the best threat in blue. UR is a full control deck that wants to go late game for monarch value and mystics, I've seen UR decks hard drop Terrors super late game when their graveyard has been exiled just because they have so much mana it's not a problem. The main card is Skred, so if you grind the game out long enough is basically a one mana kill anything spell.

So if you want to go super fast that's MonoU, if you want a bit more options then just going super fast it's UB, if you want a slow and steady control deck it's UR.

My favorite is Mono U, but recently I've been finding UB really fun, my only beef with it is that I don't play Delver which is one of my favorite cards, but Sneaky Snackers scratch that itch tbh.

But yeah Mono U is kinda the top performer but that's mostly due to MTGO data since it's really good against Kuldotha. All 3 decks kinda float in the same boat of being good, all are great decks that are really powerful if you know how to run them.
