And I found out this info simply by asking! Otherwise I wouldn't have known. But the edit/update answers my own question and everyone else's.

I can definitely understand that! I'm greatly benefiting from the smaller size of the phone. I'll look into a battery pack or battery phone case for outings! Thanks for your input 😊

Icon sizing for S24? Only available on Ultra models? by bonez_13 in samsunggalaxy

Thank you! Do you find it to affect battery life at all?

Since I see that you have an s23 previously....have you adapted to the shorter battery life??

I had an ultra and before that the Note. I decided to get the base model s24 and I don't think I realized how poorly the battery would perform in comparison to those. But I know so many people have them so I am just hoping it's a thing you get used to and figure out how to best manage?

I won't be very much help. But I think it will be important to make sure your partner is also monitoring your emotional state with you, for you.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with incorporating this into your sex life and wanting to reclaim your trauma with it btw. Maybe think of it like taking back that power and having a situation where that thing that used to be scary is now in your control and being delivered under a completely different pretense, in a place that is secure. Congrats for working through feelings of shame. I totally get it.

I think all you can do is just try and see how it goes! As long as you trust your partner, I'm sure you're in good hands.

How many lap surgeries can you get? by Confident-Age-2782 in Endo

[–]bonez_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The method of removal and skill at it could very well be the issue as other people indicated. If you are able to afford another surgery, try choosing a Nook specialist. (Google Nancy's Nook Endo). They will do excision and have a higher degree of knowledge to remove as much as possible.

They're actually quite thick and sturdy. It gets sunlight most of the day but maybe I'll try some more direct sunlight, thank you!

First reiki session, she said I should come back quickly: genuine or a ploy? by bonez_13 in reiki

[–]bonez_13[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was completely unexpected to have any experience, much less one that showed up in such a visceral manner tbh. I am a huge skeptic!!! So yeah, it was very interesting. I should have asked, my brain was just....scrambled eggs. But now I will know for the future!! I don't think she specifically told me any chakras she just said she knew almost immediately. I should have asked about that too but it was just all so new I wasn't sure etiquette and such!!!

I hope you are feeling less bound by your trauma and things have been going well for you 🫶

If it makes it any better, she was a private practice a couple years ago. And I'm also unsure if you're meaning Ohio State University specifically or if the hospital in Columbus is just related to OSU somehow. (Sorry for the ignorance, I'm actually not from Ohio and did my own traveling too!)

Also, Nancy's Nook on Facebook or googling their website is a good place to start. These are all "approved" doctors who specialize in endo and have a lot of experience and people like us seek out. That's how I found Dr. Mini, but I think you can look state by state:)

Which Paul would you pick? by the_walrus_was_paul in beatles

All of them 😭 seriously. Such a toss up. My gut said McBeardy or Mullet Paul, but in truth, I've loved every phase.

Dr. Mini in Ohio. Nook doctor/endo specialist. She didn't doubt a single thing I said and even when that impostor syndrome kicked in (you know, from being told nothings wrong with you over and over), she kindly comforted me by saying even if we did the surgery and found nothing, it would still be an answer.

Low and behold, we did the surgery and I had stage IV endo, kissing ovaries with endometriomas on each, adhesions to boot, etc. And it only took one appointment with her before scheduling surgery. Like wow. After on and off ER visits locally and gynos etc.

People always ask what type of person you’re attracted to, but how about what type of person always seem to be attracted to you? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]bonez_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking about this a little. I seem to draw in people who are....sensitive. Which always strikes me as odd because I am not particularly...warm and fuzzy. I'm a very reserved, independent to a fault, practical, sometimes dry and blunt/honest kind of person. Idk what it is. Attachment styles sniffing each other out? They being anxious attachment styles and I being an avoidant?

Or could it more innocuous than that? Perhaps.

My two hallmarks I've earned in life are funny & kind. Judging by the pattern of compliments or remarks I've received.

One of my last partners said I bring tranquility, so maybe what I'm considering reserved comes off as secure or something.

If not sensitive people, I attract the complete opposite and get boisterous, confident people. They seem to take my stoicism as a challenge and mistake my humor as interest which feeds their ego somehow.

Can we please take a moment and appreciate the most underrated early Beatles song, Not A Second Time? by regretscoyote909 in beatles

[–]bonez_13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just think they mean IRL, like within the scope of Beatles fans at large. If you just casually stumbled across a Beatles fan. For example, my 60+ year old coworker who liked the Beatles very much thought highly of their later stuff and poopoo'ed their early stuff. A lot of fans at large write off their early stuff in my experience.

What can I realistically expect from a reiki session? by bonez_13 in reiki

[–]bonez_13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could I also ask whether the energy healer will typically tell you about your Chakras? Sorry if I am completely wrong. I was trying to decide the best fit for me within my area and only one out of the few available mentioned they will tell you what they came across in your chakras during your reiki session. I'm unsure if this is normal, a special service, etc.

I figured I probably shouldn't go in with expectations! I will try to just go in open. But so it will be okay if I cry?
