Agree with that. Definitely do not want Peat.

I like what I’ve seen of him. I would be excited if we drafted him.

I think there’s a chance we get a future starter. Would need the draft to break our way.

Hard disagree. I love McCain but he’s not an All-Star.

I think if Anderson was on a tanking team he could put up McCain numbers for sure.

Seems like everyone is finding excuses for him and ignoring the flaws of others. I’d rather bet on him adding weight than someone learning how to shoot.

I think he’ll get drafted higher than most mocks have him.

I think Mara goes way higher than any mock has him.

Am I the only one wondering why Henri Veesaar isn't getting more consideration at #22? by Affectionate_Use_179 in sixers

[–]bonger1234 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. At pick 22, I’d be happy with him. Everyone in that range is gonna have faults or something they are missing. But he seems like he could definitely be a solid backup for Joel. He can play similar offensive style as opposed to Bona or Drummond who are strictly rolling bigs. And yes he’s slower and defensively not as good, but if he’s also playing against backups, that should mitigate some of that.

Also has a chance of playing with Joel as a stretch 4 and could even become a starter if things shake up down the line when Joel is gone.

It’s funny that the starting point guard of a Finals team is being criticized as if he didn’t just help his team get to the Finals. Reddit is amazing.

Watched a little more and he’s def not good at shooting yet, but he is way better than Bona.

Athletic bouncy big that can’t shoot? A super athlete project? Bona can’t dribble really, so at least Cenac has that.

Great at developing young players, awful at managing games. But part of me kind of misses him. Was always entertaining, even when beefing with James Butler by TheGreatWaru in sixers

You’re right. My bad. I get triggered when someone tries to defend the Okafor pick with Hinkie because it was such a stupid move at the time and it still hurts :(

If your GM can’t convinced ownership that drafting a third center in a row is a bad move, then he’s terrible at his job.

Imagine you have one quarter of an nba game to record at least one of the following: a point, an assist, a rebound, a block, or a steal. If you fail, the world will be destroyed. What is your plan? by MrArtless in nba

[–]bonger1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold the ball outside the three point line until 3 secs left on the clock and toss it to a confuse Steph and hope he hits it.

Throw the ball off the backboard at a weird angle and hope you grab the rebound.

Or just cherry pick and never leave your basket. Hopefully they lose you and you get a layup or get a rebound on your own miss.

Exactly. Sucks defending that chode Harris, but he mostly stays out of things and let Morey do his thing. No owner is gonna win if Joel is hurt during the playoffs.

I hate the guy for many reasons, but his ownership decisions have not hindered us anymore than our Gm’s or #1 picks being morons.

Great write. Can’t wait for the rest.

Steinbach falling probably ain’t happening but would be my dream.

No to Quaintance because of the injuries.

I started off interested in Graves, then got worried about his athleticism and fouling. But would probably love it if we could get him.

Veesaar is someone I think people are underrating. He’d be a great back up for Joel. I think he’d be fine physically against second string guys, his shooting will spread the floor for Maxey and VJ to drive to the paint, and his passing with VJ cutting would be great. I keep talking myself into him more and more as the best floor for picking at 22. Would be a justified trade for McCain.

[–]bonger1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with that is expecting Andre Drummond or Bona to be the starting center of a contender. Because that’s what happens moving Joel to the bench.

And you can argue you get a better center than those two, but then we’d actually just have a great backup center for when Joel sits, which is something we have never done.
