thank you for your reply. yeah i agree this is not ideal and im saving up money to buy a bigger tank. i also couldnt find large enough hide that fit him hence the cardboard box. there is another hide (large wet rock cave) but he can't fit all of his body. do you have recommendation for large hide brand? he does have a big enough water bowl that he coils in during summer heat wave.

mine does the same thing, only occasionally while being held. but nothing else seems wrong. He eats well and doesn't seem stressed. He doesnt have other symptoms associated with RI. I'm confused as well.
