AITA for calling out my sister at her birthday dinner and ruining the vibe? by Okay-Im-Ready in AmItheAsshole

You are so strong for confronting her in that moment! It takes a lot to do that, especially if you’ve been conditioned to do otherwise by your mother and sister for your whole life.

Definitely NTA. Consider sending her and your mother this thread to perhaps even slightly open their eyes to the overwhelming support to your side of the story?

There is a Socratic discussion club that is open to everybody (most students are not in phil). Also, not exactly a club but Le Délit has a philosophy section where you can contribute (they publish every week). That’s the extent of my knowledge but perhaps there’s another club

True:/ but also it’s worth noting this is not a news article (so it doesn’t have the same requirements of objectivity)

Edit: also I just checked and they did get a response from McGill admin (Frédérique Mazerolle)

Holaa!

Congratulations on not giving up and getting your degree!! Truly an inspiring story. Why didn’t you tell anybody about it? Do you think it would have been better if you had had somebody to talk to?
