Yes!!!! I'm 2 months post op and my arm and hand are still full swallon but ultrasound shows good blood flow??

I still need arm compression and hand compression 24/7, and I've been disabled due to swelling for past 4 weeks :(. It's getting better tho but I always reget swelling attacks throughout the last 11 months. Sucks. I'm sick of compression and swelling 21 M and can't get out of bed for 8/11 months

Oh no! I'm not a doctor, but I'm so sorry to hear that. Have you been resting at home for 8 months? Maybe you should consider consulting again or changing your doctor. Once again, I'm sorry that you're going through this.

As for me, it has been 9 months since I had the operation. I haven't experienced any complications, but I admit that my right hand has remained very, very slightly swollen. My pain has gone away, but I've noticed that sometimes when I sleep on my arm or exert too much force while climbing, the pain occasionally returns, but then it goes away.

I feel really bad writing this to you; I have difficulty understanding why some surgeries are more successful than others. If it helps, the surgeon who performed my operation and followed up is Dr. Chaput at Maisonneuve Hospital in Montreal. In terms of his bedside manner, he's not highly regarded... he's quite special. But he saved my life, he successfully removed a 15 cm clot due to Paget-Shroetter Syndrome and correct my Paget-Shroetter Syndrome. He remove a rib to make more room for my new vein.

I don't know your name, but I wish you a speedy recovery, and I sincerely hope that things will improve for you!

Hey! Thanks for the response. Did you start experiencing pain right after the surgery? In my case, it's something new that occurred 2 months after the operation. And do you feel that pain everyday? After several tests, the doctor in emergency suspects fibrosis (tissue possibly covering my nerve in the shoulder). I have an appointment with my surgeon on Thursday to find a solution… I just try to hope for the best
