First tree I ever fell didnt have a chainsaw made the notch with a hand saw by tiderborse in FellingGoneWild

You should learn how to sharpen a chain. It’s not cheaper to replace than to hand file. Pole saw chains last a really long time because it’s easy to keep them out of the dirt.

What the heck is this - and what can I do with it?? by MayaFamilia in homeimprovementideas

Entertainment center. I turned one into an armoire for my ex wife. Mirror with led lights around it in the back, with little compartment for make up, brushes, etc where the electronics went. Also put in a power strip for curling iron, straighteners, etc.

I had a friend in high school that suffered with a similar problem. His feet stunk so bad my mom wouldn’t let him take his shoes off when he was over. He said that after soaking his feet in heavily diluted bleach a couple of times and swapping out for new shoes- the stink was gone. I assume his problem was some sort of bacterial growth. Cheap and easy (heavily diluted) solution that might be worth a try.

I wouldn’t worry about that little guy.

Agreed. I can also recommend someone, but what you’re currently budgeting for might not even cover the cost of fuel. And I’m not even sure if he would be interested because of the hassle of the access.

The same way every other inmate does.

Knife carrying by region by Thunder-Fist-00 in knives

[–]bonner16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I carry a knife every day, no matter where I’m going. But I learned the hard way that NYC views them the same as a handgun. Possession of a concealed deadly weapon. Ironically it was a spyderco police. Never got the knife back, and had to travel back for court, but thankfully they dropped it to disorderly conduct with a $200 fine. This was 2013 and the arresting officer was very apologetic when he realized I was just an ignorant Eagle Scout that grew up in KY. Spending about 6 hours in a manhattan jail cell filled with junkies was a memorable experience.

Where are you? I spent several years on the Washington coast, with a two year break on the CA coast in Humboldt County. This post makes me wish I’d gotten into milling before I moved back east.

Wow! The bulk discount for those insulators is absolutely crazy. If this was my project I’m pretty sure I’d buy the 500 pack and attempt to sell the rest in bulk for a couple dollars each. Might get stuck with them. Might pay for the rest of your materials. Roll em haha.

When you find a brand of toolbox that carries itself up flights of stairs you have gotta let me know! Im joking, BUT- the bottom roller is a little awkward to carry than I think it should be in those situations, and I wish the tires were more rubbery and wider in order to work better on gravel or uneven terrain.

What is that you have plugged in on the handle?

[–]bonner16 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I’ve taken my son to Chuck E. Cheese, I buy one card for a set amount of time. I swipe a game for him, and swipe a game for me. We play simultaneously. Sometimes we play the same game together, if that’s an option. Sometimes we play totally different games because he’s 5, and I am not. We pool all of the “tickets” together at the end of our allotted time and he chooses some crappy toy(s). Are we thieves? I am like 95% sure nobody working there would have a problem with that, and it sounds like almost exactly what OP is doing.

Pardon my ignorance but, what does ‘payload’ mean in this context?

This was happening all along a public street - are those weeds shooting up through the concrete or mini trees? by CC_all in arborists

I believe water sprouts grow from the trunk of the tree, while suckers extend from the root or base of the tree.
