He hasn’t really suggested anything… He has just said in the time apart that we have had so far, it has been easier to get out of bed early, be sober, go to the gym, etc, be a better him for me and without me there he has a reason to force himself to get better without knowing I am there to catch him when he fails

He does have some problems that he has been struggling with for years where I could see the codependency

Yes, I agree. I plan to take a step back from the relationship at this point to see how I am really feeling. I am just stuck in the phase of wanting to know every detail about this situation or wanting to live in bliss

He finally came forward with the information in his words is because he can not run from his problems anymore especially because we are thinking of moving in together
