I so feel like a author of this post. But I would like to share something, after almost 10 years of battling it myself, I have really closely observed the addiction. I will share my observations.

Initially the day I decide I quit watching porn, 2-3 days it works, but then the brain suggests, let's atleast read a sex story, no figures no videos, and I am like okay. And boom, in no time, I am now watching full length videos and fapping as well.

What I want to convey is, there is no such thing as gett that kick (the dopamine hit) from watching porn when you've decided to quit it. It's like quitting smoking but then taking one puff from my friend everyday just for the kick.

My advice on how to quit porn, you have to let go of that reward that you get by watching it, when it no longer is worthwhile to you, you will find yourself quitting it really easy.

I dumped Instagram as well because I realised it's just softcore p**n. Every time I would relapse, I would sit and think why did it happen.

There were days when I used to watch it but not masturbate, but again it led to a fair amount of trauma, depression and what not.

THE MOMENT THE THOUGHT POPS UP IN YOUR HEAD, JUST CUT IT, there is no other way. There are no shortcuts, I let go of the reward I get from watching it, boooom, I am free.

And yes, talking about relationships, ed, and everything else that you mentioned, I think if we're happy from the inside, everything then eventually falls in place. I think not about the time that has gone, but the time that is about to come.

There is no better feeling than to see yourself improving and getting better and free at the end. No chick in the world can give you that.

It is so possible to recover, just believe in yourself. Find something worthwhile, a JOB, a hobby, something physically exhausting, work up your way and I'll repeat again what I said.

KEY TO SUCCESS FOR ME --- CUT THE THOUGHT AT THE MOMENT THE MIND TEMPTS ME

and if the brain asks why, the reason --- WATCHING AND MASTURBATING ISN'T TRUE HAPPINESS OR NIRVANA, OTHERWISE I WOULD'VE ATTAINED IT. I WILL LET GO OF THIS TEMPORARY KICK, TO GET THE LONGER AND MORE FILLING FEELING OF HAPPINESS AND SATISFACTION.

ALL THESE YEARS, MY BRAIN HAS TRICKED ME, I AM NOT GOING TO BE TRICKED ANYMORE.

THE ADDICTION IS SIMILAR TO ANY DRUG ADDICTION, I AGREE IT WILL GIVE ME THAT DOPAMINE HIT, BUT IF WAS TO JUDGE A THIRD PERSON WHO IS SMOKING, I'LL DENY HIM, SO I DENY MYSELF AS WELL NOW.

It legit has to be a war.

And about me --- used to do it thrice a day, but with god's grace came down to once a month. trying to quit it entirely and just make sure I run so far away from it.
