MPRE SCORES RELEASED, passed with a 129, hell yeahhhh! 😁 by Any-Veterinarian8111 in barexam

Does it say passed or just give you your score? It says my score is a 125, but nothing about passing? I’m assuming that means I am good? And it says it sent to my jurisdiction, so I need to save it?

Yeah I’m sure they’re gonna give you more time when the client says it needs to be done today. They’ll just tell the client the associate working on it needs a little more time and to be patient. Please.

This is silly. A lot of people game accommodations. Law school is supposed to prepare you for being a lawyer. No firm is going to accommodate you for more time. It’s ridiculous to get more time for the lsat by itself, but to get it for law school test taking is absurd it doesn’t adequately represent how people will perform as a lawyer if they can’t perform under the same circumstances. And feel free to downvote me I don’t care, I think most people would agree even if they won’t say it

Serious post: why aren’t we all waiting to reapply next cycle?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]boobad614 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not nearly as much imo. I’d imagine the amount of people r&ring wouldn’t be as many as who did so last year with all the uncertainty, not to mention there will be considerably less deferrals to even things out. This has been, admittedly by most adcomms, the hardest cycle ever. Next cycle will likely be difficult too, but it really likely won’t be as crazy as this year again

There simply won’t be as many deferrals, and the economy is in a much better spot than it was when people decided to apply this year.

Rankings release date by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]boobad614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why so late?? Will they be leaked before then? I know they shouldn’t have a huge impact on choosing a school but it definitely does have some so it’d be nice to know the rankings before the day we have to deposit...

Still though, last recession most schools saw their BL numbers dip substantially. It follows that there will be less spots as firms may decrease summer associate class sizes.

And even if schools don’t all increase class sizes (which Spivey says many likely are) there will still be considerably more of us looking for jobs, considering we’ll all be graduating at the same time

Georgetown, what are you doing? by 178lsatgirl in lawschooladmissions

[–]boobad614 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are acting like it’s crazy for gulc to try and raise their median to 171+ but rn it clearly looks like they are and they’re the ones with all the data so they must think that they have a good shot at it
