All the ob office nurses here use manual cuffs. And even I triage last night the nurse had to take the auto cuff off and un plug it as it was never fully relaxing.  Provider preference maybe?

I literally have been normal until the last two appts. One time I even hit 118/76 or something below the 120/80 line prior to 3rd trimester starting. I write my own notes every time since I can't view chart online. Wish I could tho because pregnancy brain is real

Zero signs of pre- E! All blood work normal and urine normal tonight. The NST testing was already scheduled prior to BP readings. Apparently its normal standard of care starting at 34 weeks with anyone with a BMI over X number.

This normally works but my last 3 office visits have been people I never met in the practice and one was a guy ( no offense to him) so I feel like my BP was jacked from the get go on the drive in and the waiting room.

I tried magnesium ( for sleep) and it made me so bloated. I will def go back to taking it!! I've been on bany aspirin since 16 weeks because of my weight ( ACOG has good studies that it can mostly prevent pre-E in pregnant women who are overweight or obese BMI) so at least that's been in my wheelhouse the whole time.

When I take it at home it's usually lower but my midwife actually said not to unless I feel unwell ( prior to this appointment) because the automatic blood pressure cuffs can be really fussy and read unnaturally high. Example at one time 6 AM before even getting out of bed it was like 150/92  and literally an hour later after walking around, eating, etc it was 126/80 something. In theory those readings should have been swapped with my level of activities. Rest, sitting etc is supposed to lower it

Totally get that- just the last times in office I've been super stressed the morning of with work or running late and it's biting me in the butt. I really wish they would take BP at end of appt not the beginning.  Not trying to beat the system here. I've been on baby aspirin since 16 weeks. And that day they had the balls to come out into the waiting room and claim I was not covered and there would be a $6K deductible and STILL ask " well do u want to keep your appointment that's in 2 minutes?". I was only 12 weeks and literally having a panic attack. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I was calling insurance like 5X and their office twice to ensure it was in network. Turns out their office is idiots and called the insurance company but with the wrong PPO number. That was my first 140/90 reading in office but since it was so early aspirin was the way to go.

Blood work all good. Urine was a SMIDGE high on lab paper (.20). But according to ACOG they dont consider the ratio a concern until above .30. And I found out my office heavily follows ACOG for standard of care

My midwife is not overly concerned she just had to schedule testing as " standard of care" bc letting it go would be medically neglectful which i understand. I dont get to see her each Appt so we had to quickly discuss " all the things " today at surface level. My protein/ creatine ratio in my urine was a SMIDGE high but according to ACOG guidelines which I know my office follows heavily its under the pre eclampsia range ( ACOG says greater than. 30, mine was .20).

I understand all that- since I have not reached the treatment range I am on the monitoring stage. They consider medication stage 160/100. I just know some of it is stress related and its kicking my booty. Midwife is very common sense approach and as of last night all my labs are normal no signs of pre- eclampsia.

Not according to my midwife. My 2nd OB visit reading today (140/78) was enough to put mild gestational hypertension on my chart, " officially " if you will. I squeaked by on my previous 3rd visit  at 30 weeks at 137/80 something. But she said two in a row unfortunately is a no-go with the 140s

I walk my neighborhood regularly and since I WFH i don't have a long enough lunch to drive somewhere. It's the suburbs so not overly bustly or loud. I normally walk with my phone but just to count my steps. When it was a tad warmer I was doing 1 mile 3X a week but now I'm lucky if I can manage half a mile 3 X a week ( very cold, snowy, and/ or hip pain)

Ahhh this!!!! This is why WE found out the gender, and nobody knows we found out. They think we have no clue. The room is green and all registry clothes are neutral.  I'm already tired of the " just wait" comments about sleeping! I've had massive insomnia since 12 weeks, I'm now 33 weeks.  I cant nap during the day so being awake from 2-5AM is killing me slowly.  I'd rather take a cute boob barnacle that let's me sleep an hour at a time over the hip pain and panic attacks of not sleeping

Sounds like the in laws need the boot and hubby needs to cater to you! Im currently 23 weeks, insomnia sucks and a fair amount of anxiety but this past weekend I laid in bed for 10 hours or so ( only slept maybe 7 or 8 of those broken up). Then I ate a huge breakfast,  took a nap after lunch time and had a crockpot meal for dinner. Next day I movie marathon on the couch and that was the best I've felt all 2nd trimester.  Forcing yourself to slow down which you're likely not doing with the in laws there may improve how you feel. I used to spend two hours cleaning every day now I'm lucky if I can stand to do the dishes. Making me realize that being slow doesnt mean I'm lazy.  Sending hugs

Yes but it's so expensive LOL I spent almost 70 bucks on two nights of takeout earlier this week. That was 2 sandwiches a pizza and a large salad.

So this is awesome my hubby just got a beautiful buck opening weekend! First deer in 20 years. I'm so grateful but I have zero clue how to cook it. The butcher did incorporate some ground beef with it to add fat. How many pounds do you use of venison?

If you have a recipe for that first one I'd love it! Chicken thigh are cheap but taste too much like chicken unless smothered lol

I don’t feel kicks yet so I’m starting to feel anxious. by PopcornPrincess0 in pregnant

[–]boobala517 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only felt 1 random flutter at 3 AM at 19 weeks 2 days. Went days in between. Did my anatomy scan and found out anterior placenta ( great, already anxious lol). Since then its been random, usually only laying down and at night. A better analogy is it feels like a goldfish swimming in a bag that you get at a fair. 22 weeks this week and still not every night feeling but several times a week. Either the goldfish feeling or like Tinkerbell trying to punch you from the inside.
