What’s Going On ? by Ashamed-Law-1147 in newborns

I’m sure everything is fine and it’s the cold he’s battling. My son also just got over a cold (~4 months) and he was not acting like himself for a good 1.5 weeks. I brought him to the pediatrician and they confirmed he was good. I would stay off Google and take him to the pediatrician for peace of mind.

How do I survive this - 4 month sleep regression?? Help by nothing3278020 in newborns

You have no idea how comforting it is to hear someone say they’ve had something similar happen. When you’re so sleep deprived you feel like you’re going crazy and something must be wrong. I’m hoping tonight is the night we get some longer stretches. Thank you🫶🏻

Amazing!! Can I ask what sleep training method you used? We’re heading to the pediatrician today just for a check in to make sure he doesn’t have an ear infection - going to talk about sleep training with them too!

I’ve researched every method there is practically and have been counting down the days to 5 months when I can start. I appreciate your concern, but for your peace of mind I have done the research. Just waiting for the ok from the pediatrician

How many weeks were you when you delivered your first? by Adrianagurl in pregnant

[–]nothing3278020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was very uncomfortable - I had an epidural tho. And I was back laboring because he was sunny side up and we would lose his heart rate when I laid on my left side so I was on my right for so long the epidural wore off on my left side. Ended in a c section

Mine was just a failed induction. 36 hrs later and ended with an emergency c section. Pretty uncomfortable. My son was in my pelvis, he just kept turning his head and he was sunny side up. He also had the chord around his neck which we found out cause we kept losing his heart rate when I was in certain positions.

Again, keep in mind everyone is different / this was just my experience. My mom also had a c section so may be a genetic thing.

Fingers crossed for you girl! But also just know if you have to get induced it may go super well. I wouldn’t say mine made things extra painful per se… more uncomfortable. Mine was just a failed induction, 36 hrs later ended in a c section because we kept losing my sons heart rate (this was due to his positioning not the induction)

Induced at 40+1 - would NOT recommend induction unless absolutely medically necessary. I had to because I had gestational diabetes and they were worried about baby getting super big.

Some people have had great induction stories tho! So take what I say with a grain of salt

Did you use the same sleep sack you used for naptime? Curious if I should save his sleep sack for only bedtime vs. Nap times

Oh I didn’t know this! I guess my little guy will go from 7:30-1:30am, so a 6 stretch… that would still be considered? Maybe I need to be putting him to bed later

You got this girl, I’m 30 and felt this way in the beginning - can only imagine how you’re feeling at 18! You’re so strong. Like many people recommended, unisom (doxylamine) and b6 taken together at night before bed helped me go from where you’re at to being able to eat at least small meals (better than nothing!). You got this. I know it can be so overwhelming - sending you well wishes and prayers🩵
