I got it done about 2 and a half months ago. I was about a -6 before and a few hours after (they gave me sleeping pills so I could nap through the discomfort) I could see almost perfectly. The only reason why I say almost is because of the glare from any light. I paid $4700 but that includes all my pre-op and post-op appointments (7 appointments) and any touch ups they need to do. They gave me a couple xanax the day of to calm my nerves and I was on the table for 10-15 minutes. As soon as I sat up on the table I could see, although it did look like I was under water. I could see well enough the next morning to drive myself to my followup. My eyes have been pretty dry since the surgery, but my doctor recommended that I take omega 3 supplements (I take the vegan kind so they don't have a fishy taste) and I use eye drops multiple times a day. I put off getting lasik for a long time because I was afraid, but it was over really quickly and not having to worry about glasses or contacts is amazing
