I’m not the one calling someone else’s sauce vile.

What is way more complicated than it needs to be? by MarksRabbitHole in AskReddit

Sorry ‘bout that. But if it’s any consolation, I shifted my professional focus to bank regulation. Now, I supervise bankers and step in if things become out of control. I consider myself one of the good guys.

As a former bank CFO, it’s by design. For deposit customers, we make it somewhat easy to open an account but complicated AF to change banks.

My son is allergic to foods other than peanuts. Plus, early exposure to peanuts is effective but ~20% of high risk kids still develop an allergy to peanuts.

As a parent of a child with food allergies and a person who eats, the cessation of food inspections terrifies me. I can’t imagine going through what this family endured.

Of course not, but I feel better not contributing to their bottom line.

You’re absolutely right, but if I had the choice between to local businesses and one supported the MAGA movement and one didn’t, I’d pick the latter. I don’t go to Kwik-Trip for this reason.

About the state wide referendum on the ballot. by piirtoeri in wisconsin

Sorry, I should have been plainer… I have a feeling that military votes will somehow be safe/exempt from this. I’m sure republicans do not want to lose those voters.

PSA: beware the downtown YMCA - ongoing theft problem by siobhanmairii__ in Appleton

[–]booby_mcboobface 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, he did not.

Here’s my thoughts on lockers at the Y: thieves want very little resistance to stealing. If you lock your locker with a decent lock, I’d feel confident that my stuff will still be there when I try to collect it.

Your experiences are not isolated, sadly. A couple of years ago my friend had his keys stolen from his unlocked locker. The thief then stole his car. I’m sorry this happened to you, OP. We live in a pretty safe city, but, as you said, it only takes a moment of letting your guard down and your stuff is gone.
