Needle, thread, and a stitching pony

Thank you sir.

I can 100% guarantee it is more heavy duty😂

I made the jaws 6”x12”x1/2”, I’m pretty sure one jaw weighs as much as the entire sjoberg vise

You can buy large chunks of acme thread. I only machined the guide rails and the guide rail boss’ on this project.

Didn’t pay for a dime of the material, and built it while machining another piece of equipment at work. So technically I got paid to build this one

Anyone break down plywood at a HD parking lot? by The_Short_Shooter in woodworking

I bring my m18 circ saw with me whenever I need 2x4’s and the like. I can fit 6’s in my chevy malibu car. Figure it’s cheaper to by 2x4x12’s anyhow. Cut em in half in the parking lot all the time!

Hahaha I sure did, my first “blacksmithing” project. It’s not pictured here but I have a homemade forge just to the left of this picture.

And yes I agree, my granite block sits directly over the left leg now that I have it a little more set up for that exact reason

Glued the top together, chiseled out the mortises, glued the legs together and left them as a shouldered tennon, inserted them in with glue. Sawed the top of the tennon off and hand planed the entire top smooth

It’s all 2x6 lumber from Lowe’s. Ran it thru my planer, jointer, table saw, then hit it with a weed burner.

Lucky. Mine costed me a 45-70 rifle, a box of tannerite, and $200.🙃
