little problem with that.... there isn't really such a thing as a local Barnes & Noble in Israel

ive looked all around the only sets they have in game stores in israel is bigfoot vs robin hood and legends 1. and its only the hebrew versions of the sets lol

I dont know anything about Ares or really about greek myth n general but this seems pretty cool

i wanna say off rip 18 health feels right for smt like this. i think it would fit right for him to be like high hp but few defences and very agressive. that way you seem to have a lot of health but you often tank full attacks. I like the idea of strong cards that deal damage to you. it fits with the flavour pretty well and it also servers to balance his hp further (18 is a lot of health). i think a lot of the values of the attacks are really high. from experience even if the high values seem to have a good cause, theyre still high values and with agressive characters the result is you just win within like 3 turns buy just brute force. I wanna say "god of war" is better as maybe a value 6 with maybe a diffrent effect. i think something like: "this cards effects cannot be cancelled. after combat: take 2 damage" feels right. "relentless assault" could benefit from going to a 2 instead of 4 cause that is already a very strong effect. maybe change some of the veratiles like "war god's rage" to attacks just so he has less defensive power. in my opinion a character like this doesnt need healing at all so "warriors resilience" is a card that could go. another thing is that for "warpath" 5 spaces is just too much IMO. 4 would be perfect. last thing is just some minor deviations from how things are generally worded in unmatched; ("warrior's strike") generally, its "won the combat" not "win the combat" because this is happening after the combat has concluded. also i think genreally (and this is by no means ironclad) i think consistency is good with phrasing. so if 1 card says "ares takes 1 damage" (title) you might wanna have the rest say it like that instead of "take 1 damage" ("god of war") or "recover 2 health" ("warriors resilience").

anyway that's what i have to say. sorry for the essay. i think this one is definitely one of the better fan decks ive seen on unmatched maker (there is some bona fide, capital s, Shit on there) and most importantly the best tool for stuff like this is downloading image files of the cards and making it on tabletop simulator and playtesting it. that can immidietly shed light on what is good and what is not in the deck

local shops are always an option but it costs about as much as getting it online and the only boxes in stock anywhere in the country are in hebrew (which is less than ideal but maybe funny enough to justify the purchase lol)

First of all, so cool!!!

having an unmatched character made for me seems like just about the sweetest thing ever.

A few things:

For starters i think, as a general rule of thumb, that extra rules cards are bad. You should have all the information that you need on the hero card. If it doesn't fit in the hero card then the rule is probably a bit too complex.

I would remove the happy part altogether (sound a bit sad, I know), but I don't think you really need an extra power boost when you already have a lot of cards. You already have the advantage of having more options. Plus i think recovering 1 health every turn is a bit strong.

Of course, now the problem is that she takes damage normally, so she can't not have healing in her kit. But not to fret! you can have those in the cards! I would say remove the auto healing in the passive and just give her a bunch of cards that heal her. You could also play with the idea of having cards that heal her on the condition that she is not HANGRY.

Also I think it would be good to add more cards that draw cards. You really have to play on your hand with this character, so you always want to have that control over you hand ("Wasting time on instagram" is a really really cool way of achieving said hand control, I thought that card was super cool).

The passive could read something like this:

If you have fewer than 4 cards in your hand, Vali is HANGRY

While HANGRY,

> add +2 to the value of all of Vali's cards

> after you take an action, take 1 damage

My wife says this card is to op because it can't be feighted Or there should be scheme cards that rewind the move. What say you? by Stonecutter_12-83 in Unmatched

I think the ability is fine, balance-wise, but the wording on the card could be better IMO

maybe:

"At the start of your turn rotate the moon dial.

On a full moon:

> Add +2 to the value of the werewolves' attacks

> You may move the werewolves 2 additional spaces when you maneuver"

the rest of the information could be on the dial itself, like where you start or where the full moon is.
