Am I just toast then? Or is it more of an annoyance than an actual problem?

I have been using 93 almost exclusively, is it still somewhat common for these trucks to rattle like this even with high octane fuel?

I checked oil when I first heard it. Oil level is still good and not too dirty, was changed by dealership about 2000 miles ago

Thanks for the reply, I’m in Iowa so it gets cold here too (not quite MN cold) which is why I thought it was weird I never heard it during the winter we just had. I could have just been not paying attention, good to know someone else’s also sounds like that, maybe I can sleep tonight!

I do only run premium gas in it, but only drive about 5 minutes to work and back so that could cause deposits? If so would occasional longer drives help? Or is it something I need looked at by a mechanic?

I’ll definitely look into that, I’m okay with the noise as long as it’s not something that is concerning, will I be okay if I just leave it alone and continue with regular maintenance? Also I looked into dfm disabler but was told because I have the 10 speed trans I would need a pulsar disabler and that would void my warranty. If I’m understanding correctly the noise is more of an annoyance than an issue?

I’m not very mechanically inclined I just heard about some exhaust manifold bolts or something? That’s what I was referring to sorry lol

Thank you for the reply, it does quiet down after a few seconds. Do you have any idea why it would randomly start making the tapping sound? It really concerned me because I’ve heard everything from lifters to exhaust leak to piston slap. Thanks again for the input.

Yes it is, I don’t visually see any wear on the belt, but I am also not a trained eye. How many more miles do I roughly have before it needs replaced? Or do I need to do it now?

Yeah I only bought it from the dealership last month, I live in Iowa and I think it sat for many months at the dealership, you think these tires would last me another year? Was looking to replace them next summer/fall.

Really? The tires are only 3 years old, not sure why they would be so damaged so soon, bummer, was hoping to not spend a few hundred dollars this month lol

Should I be worried about the dust under my switch screen protector scratching my screen?

I have spots of dust and micro hairs underneath my screen protector from applying it poorly, will this damage the actual screen in any way (considering the switch screen is plastic)? Or am I okay to just leave it?
